New to Zoom, I inadvertently began the process of hosting a meeting. Attempting to correct my mistake, I found a boatload of options for meetings ... but no way to cancel. I thought it would disappear. However, a window continues to pop up for me to finish scheduling the nonexistent meeting. How can I delete this? 

As a newcomer attempting to familiarize myself with Zoom, an accidental click found me looking at myself about to host a meeting. I don't want to host . . . I want to attend! With a gazillion hosting options, the only one missing is how to cancel/delete my unscheduled non-meeting. (This may also be an obstacle for attending an upcoming meeting, as I'm unable to complete the required signup.) Please advise; thanks in advance.

Windows 7 tower box.  I want to use virtual background WITHOUT green screen.   I can't seem to get it working.  The background options stay GRAYED OUT.  Is there a workaround or not?   Thanks for advice~recommendations.   James July 27, 2024    #virtualbackground  #nogreenscreen  

I am DEAF and NEED captions. Zoom blantantly discriminates against the Deaf. I have spent hours trying to get captions working. I cannot get Zoom tech support to help without paying for it. This is BS, I refuse to pay Zoom for tech support to turn on captions when they obviously discriminate against the Deaf.

I just got a new Chromebook. I don't see an option to "touch up my appearance" on Zoom. Where do I find this option using a Chromebook?

Hi all, I am using Fedora 40 Workstation. I can give access to the mouse to Windows users, but when a Windows user tries to give access to the mouse, the remote control function is not shown to me. In the zoom settings on the site, both have remote control enabled. I have zoom rpm installed. I use Wayland session, before that I used opensuse tumbleweed Gnome with X11 session, same problem with zoom, I can give access to the mouse, but I can not give access to the Windows user. In opensuse there was a flypack version of zoom and opi zoom. I haven't tried the flypack version of zoom in fedora, but I think if the native zoom package has the same problem, it's not the zoom versionMy laptop: Acer Aspire 5 A515-52G-581S. I use zoom almost daily and EVERY time for the last few weeks other participants see me frozen (I can still hear them but they can't hear me) and I get kicked out of the meeting.  Within seconds I am automatically brought back into the meeting.  This is VERY bad as I lose Host status and am brought back into the meeting as a participant, even though it's MY meeting.  I cannot gain host status back myself, I lose ability to control the meeting and the recording is saved on the computer of whomever was randomly given Host status.  This is EXTREMELY bad. I need to know what is going on but zoom has referred me to the community for answers.  I use zoom through Obvio which I pay a lot for and have the upgraded zoom version with it.  I have spoken to Obvio and this is a zoom problem.  Can anyone help? But I am facing an Issue of Echoing sound during meetings and I hear my own voice after speaking. I have Zoom linked to my booking system (Wix) and when I try to open my meeting, I keep getting this message:  You cannot start the meeting because it is hosted by another userI have logged out/in again - tried looking at the booking system and linked the accounts. Nothing seems to work and my meeting attendees are also getting the message: Meeting invalid.  Does anyone know what I can do? Thank you!!!

I am experiencing an issue with my Pro account where the "Record" button is not appearing during my meetings, even though I have enabled Cloud Recording in my settings.Here are the details:I have disabled local recordings and enabled Cloud Recording in my Zoom account settings.I am the host of the meeting.I have verified that Cloud Recording is enabled in both my account and group settings.I have ensured that I am using the latest version of the Zoom client.Despite these configurations, the "Record" button is not visible during my meetings. Could you please assist me in resolving this issue? When I use any type of external microphone with Zoom (Rode Wireless Go, Heydey microphone, etc) there is this awful buzzing sound and nothing works.  The only mic that works is my built in microphone.  I use a MacBook Air 10.13, and yes - I have updated the app, the cords/plugs are all in the right places, nothing is muted, etc.  This started happening with my Rode but now no external mic works.  I use Zoom for fitness classes (with the Rode) and for corporate presentations (with the Heydey), but now neither is working.Any ideas?

Mostly a Mac user, but have hosted my licensed Zoom account on Win machines, recording locally. Trying to record a quick app demo on zoom with this newish (2 months) Lenovo running Win11, and I just took the 22h2 update this morning...     The problem is I can't get the Local Recording settings field ("Store my recording at:) to change.  The field says it's recording location on OneDrive (don't want that), and the path cannot be changed by highlighting /typing over or using "change" button to select another location.  What's odd  is that clicking "open" takes me to the local zoom folder, but it wouldn't record there.   I logged into the website and turned off cloud recording there (which means I probably won't be able to record from the phone), went back to the app - STILL couldn't g

Does the host have the ability to check participant IP?

I have used Zoom for while but recently purchased a new Chromebook, I installed the Zoom PWA, and inveriably when on a call, when I speak and share my video, things start to act up.  It is almost as though I have minimal cpu or bandwidth.  If I turn off my video it solves the problem. I've used other communication tools like Google Meet and things work great.  My problem is just with Zoom. What do I need to do to fix this?  

Is it possible to display multiple cameras simultaneously in a meeting without using the "share second camera" feature? I'd like both cameras to have equal prominence. Sharing repositions and enlarges the shared camera, unless I'm missing something. I'm on MacOS 14.5, running Zoom Workplace 6.0.11, with 2 USB cameras connected. I can switch between the cameras but can't find a "display simultaneously" option. Thanks!

I use zoom in a web browser.  Today when entering into a meeting my virtual background wasn't active. When I went into the settings menu within the meeting the option for background wasn't available.  I then tried the arrow next to the start video button and the option for virtual video settings is not showing.  In my main settings virtual video is enabled.  I have restarted my computer logged out and back in and I am still unable to access the virtual backgrounds.  Would love some assistance on how to have my virtual backgrounds back. At this time I can't even get the blur as there isn't the option to get to that part of the settings.  Thank you

Hi,I have Windows 11 on a laptop.  I have been trying to install the latest updates (the button of which has now disappeared from my menu) and I get the message that "The installation package could not be opened.  Contact the application vendor to verity that this is a valid Windows installer package." I have spent hours with numerous tech people (and expense) and NOONE can get the old version of Zoom off of my machine.  We downloaded the CleanZoom app and it still does not delete it.  We also tried Revo Uninstaller Pro and that could not delete it either.  Does anyone have a fix?   I need to 1) Delete the old version of Zoom so I can update and                   2) Restore my update button in my menu. UPDATE:  Used Microsoft Uninstaller program and THAT deleted the older version of Zoom.  I still don't have th

Hi, some of us meet once a week and share the account - we take turns chairing the meeting. At present only one person (A) can start a meeting.  If another one of us try, zoom sends a one time passcode to person A, who then has to forward to person B who is chairing the meeting that evening.  This is quite stressful for person A if she is on holiday or not attending the meeting that week.  How can we set it up so that more than one person can receive the passcode notification?

I bought a new iPad Air M2 and the Video does not work. When you go into Settings in the Zoom app the Camera and Microphone options aren’t there?If I turn my video on during a meeting it takes a still picture. Not sure how the microphone is working but it does

I have recorded class meetings and I want to share them with specific groups. Hi All,Has anyone faced issue with the ZOOM Web app running on Microsoft Teams device. Kindly refer the below points for more details.  Microsoft Teams room device running on Windows and Team App version 4.19.82 was trying to connect to a Zoom Meeting. During the ZOOM Meeting, Video was working fine, but room Microphone was having issue.  When the Microphone was tested using the same Zoom Web App, it showed audio feedback (Was showing audio was working). Zoom meeting shows default Microphone as Crestron HD-CONV and not Jabra panacast however shows Default Speaker as Jabra Panacast. During Zoom meeting If user perform Leave computer audio operation and reconnects, then Mic works as expected.

Since I've been on Zoom, over 7 years, I've had my own forever link (not to be confused with Personal ID link) at the bottom of scheduled meetings. I use this with all regular clients in my calendar, and when it's time to start the meeting, I go into zoom and tap start.  This week I had an unavoidable zoom by phone, not laptop. I ensured it was fully set up and had the meeting. When I was back on laptop, I noticed my forever link was gone. I uninstalled zoom from my phone. I uninstalled zoom from my laptop and reinstalled. No improvement, link is still missing. I need this link because if I try to borrow it from an already scheduled meeting despite it being my forever link and not an original link, it brings with it the client who's schedule I pulled it from. All I want is my forever zoom link that sat at the bottom of all scheduled meetings on the MEETINGS tab, back.
