3/2025  Zoom noise suppression is too high on all available settings. My mic, Blue Yeti test fine in every other app. I need to pick up the sound of my breath. at one time last year if the audio Background noise suppression was set on LOW the breathing techniques i was trying to share on zoom came across quite well. since then and several zoom updates later it looks like this low setting not only cancels the breath but even when super close to the mic, it will not pick up any other non-voice sound either. i’m literally shaking my pens and scissors in a metal container and nothing it being picked up,  I have tried every setting including Original sound and the new Beta Live performance. While making a recording to test this i use 3 different mics. none of them on zoom would allow the breath. I adjusted every settings to max input, max gain, tried everything and zoom only picks up the first second of the breath and then suppresses the rest, I am breathing loud and fast throu

Title. I'm taking a Shakespeare class and we watch clips from movies based off the plays sometimes. Every time a video is shared, I can only ever hear the voices. No background sounds or music, just complete silence unless a character is talking. What could be the problem here?

During a zoom meeting I would like to break my team into smaller groups, but allow those smaller groups to still see in their screen view each breakout group, similar to how the meeting host is able to.  Then to have the ability for the host to present question corporately to each breakout group.  Is this possible?

Can anyone tell me how I can overcome the block to connection on zoom via windows 11 browser  without losing the s connection .  Windows tells me if I disconnect the s connection for edge browser I cannot reconnect it ever again.  

It says it failed to allow calender permission after I click to sync it with the zoom. What should I do?Has anyone came across this before? Many thanks.

The Issue: We have a large workforce of over 50 people who run events on Zoom, but sometimes people trade shifts last second and the new host is not able to start the meeting because they were not initially set up as host or alternate host. When this issue arises, the new host tries to join and gets a "Waiting for Host to Start Meeting" message.  The solutions I know about: I know we can assign people as alternate hosts, but we sometimes don't have the chance to add people as alternative hosts after they pick up the shift, especially if it is last second. I suppose we could assign everyone in our organization as alternative hosts, but that isn't really realistic with a staff of 50 people. I know we might be able to disable the waiting room so that anybody could launch the meeting, but then I believe our clients could launch the meeting and we don't want them to start the meeting without us. Over the last 12 hours, I have received emails from two different colleagues, inviting me to their Zoom meeting as an alternative host. They have since informed me that on setting up the meeting, a lot of other staff members automatically popped up as alternative hosts. Has anyone experienced this before? I understand how to manually add/remove alternative host emails from a meeting, but I don't understand why it is auto populating seemingly random colleague emails in, on set up of the meeting. Thank you!

HI,I'm trying to get or make the text transcript of a recent zoom meeting. The bot says that the transcript shows up on the right side of the video recording, but actually it's the chat transcript that shows up there. How do I get a transcript of the actual meeting? Thank you

Hello,I am an adjunct instructor who teaches remotely. Unfortunately, when I share my screen with my class (which is the vast majority of the time), the participants see a black box where the Zoom controls and participant tiles appear on my screen.In an attempt to fix the problem, I tried sharing the screen with both the video optimizer on and off. This did not fix it. I also updated all of the drivers on my laptop. This did not work. I'm sending a Zoom Invitation to a client.- My computer is set up as Eastern Time Zone- I'm setting the invitations up as the Eastern Time Zone- My client is in the Eastern Time Zone- My client's computer is set up as Eastern Time Zone- When this client gets  the invitation (I'm using Outlook to send the invitation) he received is as Central (Chicago/America) What's going on ?

Hello, I'm at a bit of a loss and so frustrated right now - during a live Zoom call today, a spammer got through the password and showed inappropriate imagery.  In trying to report this individual after the Zoom meeting, I continually get a "501 internal error" from Zoom every time I try to complete the reporting process.  I've tried this on several devices. Then, in trying to contact support, I see that I'm not eligible for direct support because, according to support, I'm on the basic/free plan.  I am, however NOT on the free plan, and paid for a year of Zoom Pro, which is detailed in my billing history.  Somehow, the wires are crossed. Can anyone help me break through this mess? Thank you kindly for your help!

Help,Up until now my zoom meetings have worked fine. Now on my end the other person talks, sounds come in/out, speaking through a voice box, and like a gargled sound. Anytime I use zoom this happens. We tried troubleshooting with the audio settings to make sure whatever we were using was selected. Made sure everything was up to date.  We even tried different headset, earbuds and that didn't help either.  The only way we've got it work is the other person calls me on my phone and use camera on laptop.  TIA

I recorded a meeting yesterday and I didn't got the recording. I record my meetings locally and I have several. I can see the transcript, the report on read.ai but no video recording. It has been more than 24 h now, how do I recover the recording? How can I contact zoom support directly? 

Hey, If I were in a meeting and the host gave me permission to record the meeting, but at that time I didnt have zoom premium, is there any chance I can get the access to the recording if I buy the premium or somehow?

The playback of Silmulive videos is pretty bad.  The video and audio are barely off, and it seems like it is playing the video at 15fps. I tested this many time and in many different ways and on many different devices.  Still, the same. Then I went live and played the video in a live webinar.  No problems. I had a Zoom meeting, but the folder that is always placed within the Documents/Zoom folder on my MAC after the meeting is not there. The meeting IS listed on our account on zoom.com. Where is the folder? Or why is it not there? Thanks.

I open breakout rooms frequently in zoom sessions at various times throughout the day. When I open up a breakout room and try to enter it, my zoom just stops responding. And I get stuck in this black screen on the zoom client. And the only way that I can re-enter a zoom call after this happens is if I restart my computer. Does anyone else have this problem? And is there a way I can fix this?

I cannot create a meeting because ZOOM has overlaid an announcement for its AI notetaker service. The large rectangle sits directly on top of my photo and my CREATE A MEETING interface. I cannot create a meeting.  Why does Zoom need to leave that announcement on indefinitely? How can I create a meeting with this blockage?

Hi, When I’m in a Zoom meeting and the host shares their screen, it automatically resizes to fill my Zoom window. I’d prefer that it not take over the entire window—especially in cases where the shared content (e.g., a YouTube video) is only being used for its audio.Is there a way to prevent the shared screen from expanding automatically on my end? Or is this something the host can control when sharing their screen? Thanks so much for your help!

bei meinem Samsung Tablet verfolgt mich die Kamera bei Zoom Meetings. Das stört bei den Meetings wenn bei jeder kleinen Bewegung die Kamera schwenkt. Auf dem Handy oder Laptop habe ich das Problem nicht, es ist nur über das Tablet. Hat jemand vielleicht einen Tipp was ich einstellen muss? Zoom Support sagt das muss am Tablet eingestellt werden und der Samsung Support sagt das es eine Zoom Einstellung ist.Vielen Dank schonmal für eure Tipps

When I give a PowerPoint presentation, I use Presenter View so that I can see my notes and upcoming slides.  (I click ShareScreen, then I click Advanced and then Portion of Screen).  However, sometimes the Zoom link I've been sent does not accommodate this - and the ShareScreen, Advanced doesn't have the Portion of Screen option and I cannot use Presenter View - how can I fix this?  Does the person sending the inadequate Zoom link need to change something in their settings?  Thanks!

So yeah, I'll try to be simple and fastZoom does not detect the microphone, and in other apps like discord / windows / whatsapp web it works just fine.I'm talking about zoom desktop, in zoom web it works just fine.So, any ideas?
