Hello! My company just switched from phone.com over to Zoom Phone, and people are loving it so far, but we've run into a major snag. We used to have two-factor authentication set up everywhere to send a text message to our company number, which would then forward to an email address, and then that email would auto-filter into our company's Slack, in a specific 2FA channel. With the switch to Zoom Phone, I can't figure out how to even set up text messaging so that more than one person can access these messages, and this has become a problem. I currently have an auto receptionist set up for the company number, but when I assign a user to the Power Pack license that we have to test, text messages still do not come through to that user when texting the company number.  Please advise!!

I just added Zoom phone to my plan and I have a board meeting this Friday where I will use it for the callers to call into the meeting. I am not 100% confident I have this feature set up to do so. I have received several emails and its a little confusing at this point. How can I check that what I intend to use the phone system for is set up correctly?

In Phone System Management >> Logs >> Recording I am only able to search for calls covering a 30 day span.  That means given a legal discovery situation where we needed to recover every call to/from a specific customer we would have to search one month at a time?  I've opened a ticket with support but wanted to bring this to everyone's attention in case there's an easy fix, or to raise awareness off an inconvenient limitation. The workaround I've found is to run the call log report to find when the calls happened, then move over to the recordings section to actually download the calls.  It's still searching for recordings one month at a time, but at least the call log report (which does not have this limitation) will advise which months contain recordings that need downloaded.

Hello,I would like to set up a phone number in Zoom Phone that can only be called from defined phone numbers. A VIP number, so to speak. Any ideas?Thanks, Robert

Employees from outside call an extension - no one answers and gets voicemail - anyway they can call another extension instead of leaving voicemail.?     old Avaya system use to be *T to get be able to call another extension  

Hello! I have three users with Zoom Phone licenses but when a call is placed to the shared line number, it only rings one person. It should be ringing all three by default. I checked with the instructions to setup a shared line group and everything matched the suggested setup.

Hello Zoom gurus. Our users recently started getting errors when sending SMS (or replying to SMS), they still are able to receive SMS. I do understand this part: 10DLC Compliance for Zoom Phone and Zoom Contact Centerbut to me it sounds like that policy should be related to the programmed messaging only and telemarketing. Do regular users/phones need to be added to SMS Campaign in order to send just regular SMS? 

I do not and will not use SMS with my Zoom Phone service. Do I still have to register a campaign, or can I ignore all the threatening emails?

We're using Zoom phone integration with Hubspot. Our incoming calls are duplicated, and the correct extension of the Zoom user who spoke to the contact is not shown. Could you help with it?Thanks!

I would like to enable Zoom Phone in Microsoft Teams. To do so, Zoom requires Enterprise Consent for Microsoft Azure/Entra. There are a few things I'm not clear about I wanted to see if someone could help with. 1. The consent is asking for permission for Zoom to see Chats. Why would Zoom ask for that for Zoom Phone? Just because Zoom Phone would be in Teams it should not need to access Microsoft Teams messages.2. How exactly does Zoom consent work? Even for Calendars with the Microsoft integration. Can Zoom read the content? I would assume so so they can display it in the Zoom App. When I use the Zoom app and I have my calendar appointments, what is Zoom storing on their end related to my M365 data?

Hello,We've a BYOP integration during our migration stage in order to permit short numbering between Zoom phone and our current phone system. Everything is working except for the forwarding. Indeed, we don't allow external forward, so we've checked in Call Handling & Forwarding => Medium restriction (external numbers and external contacts not allowed).=> The issue is BYOP numbers are seen by Zoom as external numbers instead of onnet internal number. What is the solution in this case ?

I'm constantly getting called out on the accuracy of the phone reports we get form Zoom.  It's to the point that our management wants to switch phone systems and at this point I don't really care.  At least I won't have to deal with any of this anymore.  Anyone else see the disparity of reports and subscriptions?  It's crazy

Many of my users complain about call quality when talking on Zoom Phone using the Zoom app on WI-FI in our office.  I personally have not had this issue but I sit at a desk all day.  The users who are complaining are users who move around the office. We have a Meraki Wi-Fi system with several access points around the office.  Given the fact that the users with the issue are moving around the office leads me to believe that the issue occurs when their iPhone is switching to different access points as they are moving around the office. These users state that they only have the issue in the office,  If they work from home they have no issue.  I had one of the users turn WI-FI off for the day and use cellular data.  They did not experience the issue which to me confirms my suspicion that it's when their device switch APs. Is this normal behavior or is there something we can configure to stop this from

Is there a way to have the caller ID and phone number on a warm transfer populate the History panel on the Phone tab? Example: User A answers call from client. User A does a warm transfer to User B. User B is able to see caller ID information when call is transferred, but on the History tab, only sees that a call was received from User A no information about client. Our staff would like to see the name/number of the person that called them. At the moment, it seems the only way to do that is to get the number from User A or for me (admin) to go into the call log. Both of these ways are less than ideal. Thanks.

I am performing an audit on our system and want to generate a list of Auto Receptionists but do not see a way to export to CSV like many of the other fields. (Call Queues, Users, etc...)Does anyone have a solution I apparently am overlooking? Thanks

Hi Community, We have been using Shared Line Groups with Conference Barge to get that traditional VOIP capabilities. The asistant and Executive are able to tap into the lines and listen/speak at any time. They can both add callers in the call and it is working great. This function is using the Conference Barge. The only issue is that we do not have the option to disable hold music. Can we please enable this functionality? We are able to disable in a call queue but not a shared line group. 

Can basic users can manage the zoom phone lines I purchased or does it need to be licensed account? I purchased the lines but I dont want to manage them. Help ! 🙂

Has anyone successfully provisioned a BIAMP/Tesira phone?  We have a conferencing system that haz the VoIP card built in and we would like to use it with Zoom.  We just moved to Zoom recently and were able to make it work with our last system.  

It appears that even though I assign users to Zoom Phone appliances that I add to ZDM, they still have to go through a sign in process in order to “confirm” the device assignment.  Is there a way to turn off the confirmation requirement?  It kind of defeats the point of assigning users ahead of time, thinking you’re going to plug everything in before we go live and have everyone’s phones up and ready to use, when each user basically needs to sign into the phone anyway.

We are an organization of around 100 employees.  We submitted a campaign to expand (beyond 49) the total numbers that could send SMS messages to clients.  The campaign was approved at the end of February.  The relevant steps were followed to join each number to the campaign.  But since then the messages from our numbers seem to be blocked.  Users can send messages but they aren't always received.  This seems to happen most often with clients who have T-Mobile or some of the other smaller carriers.  I have an open ticket with Zoom support but seem to be getting nowhere after 6 weeks.  Any one else having SMS issues?  Getting usefull support?

I started with a company that is moving from Teams calling to Zoom calling. As a receptionist I answer and transfer a number of calls every day. If I am typing an email, as soon as the Zoom call comes in, I can't finish what I'm typing. Often times, the calls are a hang-up. I want to transfer to the call I am currently on while another call comes in, I can't complete the transfer until the other call is answered. We are doing blind transfers which means, I can't tell if the person I am transferring someone to is on the phone. Handling and transferring calls is clumsy and inefficient.
