Meetings

I recorded a meeting, but didn't convert it immediately. I stopped the conversion to do it later, but when I then tried to access the file in the zoom folder- it wasn't there. When I tried accessing the file through the zoom app and the browser, I can see that it had been recorded, but when I click 'open', it says that the file does not exist. It is very important for me to recover this file. Is there anything else I can do? 

Hello, I had a meeting scheduled yestarday. The settings were okay, made sure I had "automatically record meeting in the cloud" selected. After the meeting was over, I can not find the recording, but I found one file named 'my recordings-zoom' and nothing else.my question what might be the reason for this glitch.  If anyone can help me figure out the raeson, that would be really nice.

Hi folks- I'm wondering if anyone else is dealing with this. I've got all the settings for HD turned on, but I'm still getting video output at 640x360. I have tried:1. Recording only to the cloud2. Recording only to the computer3. Having myself and everyone else drop off, make the participant the host, and have them record to their machine. All of these have resulted in very low-quality video output. I used to record zoom meetings all the time and get decent video out of them. Did something change? Does anyone have any suggestions for how to get better quality? When I record only myself locally I get 1500x720 but as soon as I add another participant the quality plummets. Any ideas?Thanks in advance and best regards, -Ghawkins 

My work uses Teams more than Zoom, but occasionally will use Zoom with a client or an outside consultant etc. We also recently started using the Webinar function as of last month. Nearly every single person in my organisation is experiencing several issues with Zoom, regardless of the context. If it is someone outside of the organisation's meeting, myself as well as my colleagues are getting kicked out of the meetings/Zoom is crashing. Often several times within the 30-60 minute meeting. Sometimes the meeting will automatically restart, other times we will have to go back to the link. This also happened with the webinars which is very frustrating AND it does not save the recording from the time that the host gets kicked out. Advice? Help? Tips? Etc

How do I prevent an echo when I am presenting on Zoom Work Space.when participates are muted, no echo. When I unmute participants, and I speak, I get an 'echo"

Hi, I did a research interview today. Normally this works perfectly but today, the transcript function clearly is unhappy, to say the least:  7 hours later, it is still marked as "transcribing". This was only a 30 minutes recording, so not a "novel".I can work around that and put the recording through Otter separately but I'd like to know if anyone has any idea what might have happened. Issue Summary:Zoom screen sharing issue (FRUSTRATING): When OTHERS share their screen, about 70% of the time, I see a black screen, instead of the shared content. (Issue occurs about 50% of the time - seems to happen with some user's call more than others). Temporary workaround -I found an effective, but annoying workaround (since I often miss an important part of the meeting by having to leave and return):If I leave meeting and return (causing me to miss 1 minute or more of the meeting), then after returning to the SAME meeting, then the screen sharing loads: "UserXYZ has started screen sharing" message appears in the middle of the screen , after which the shared content loads. I have updated to the new Zoom Workplace version 6.0.0 (37205) on Windows 11. One of the new features listed in the release notes and this KB article is app Color Themes, but I am not able to find them.  I followed the instructions in the app to go to Settings>General. The KB article says in the General tab there should be a Theme section, with options for Classic, Bloom, Agave, and Rose. I am not seeing the Theme section or the theme options anywhere in the General tab. I made sure I'm using the Light appearance since it's noted themes are only supported in Light. Let me please try to explain what is the question about and than please let me know if you able to help out. I would like to make a Zoom session for group of 20 people. Half of the group (10 people) is advanced and in the other half are beginners (10 people). During the session I would like to make breakout rooms (two people per room) but I would like to match randomly one person who is advanced with one person who is a beginner. I know how to do it manually but my question is if you could advise me how to do it automatically? Let me also mention what is the reason behind that I am looking for the automatic match beginners with advanced rather that manual one. The session takes about 2 hours and there are about 5 different activities where I would like one random beginner to be with one random advanced person. So instea

Hi,   Could someone kindly help me. I plan to create 2 breakout rooms with automatic assignment of participants, then bring everyone back to main room for a chat and again move them to new set of breakout rooms. I just need to ensure that each time there are different people in the rooms. I wanted to ask if when creating the breakout room second time, I just click on 'recreate' button and the system will create a new mix of people, or clicking recreate will create the rooms with the same people like the first time.  Thank you. 

I can't seem to find a definitive answer to this one! When you assign breakout rooms, is there any way (after a set time or on a host control) that the participants can be randomly shuffled around without closing them all down and reopening them?

Hi,New to using the Automatic Translations tool and the Translations. What I have noticed is with this active, when one participant changes the language of the Closed captions it changes it for everyone, it seems one user cant see English CC and another participant see French.Is this correct or have I made a settings mistake?Thanks

Someone I know is now in Ghana, Africa. We'd like to video-conference together. Tried reading some of the stuff from Zoom, it ALL seemed to assume I have something called a "Zoom phone." I do not, but I have participated in MANY zoom "meetings" but they were all domestic. Tried chat, was denied because I don't have a paid plan. Can I do this and how to go about it?

This problem has been annoying me for a while now. I bought a new computer to work from home and it is has decent specs: Ryzen 5700U, 16 GB RAM 4266Mhz, Fast SSD, Wifi6.My router is also Wifi6 and I have consistent 300Mb download/upload link.I have not noticed the same problem on other conference solutions. The problem is (and I am still trying to narrow down the scenario): whenever I am muted, in a zoom conference with more than 2 participants (not one-to-one), every 2 minutes or so I get a blank in audio for about 3 to 5 seconds. Then the audio returns, but that piece of the audio streaming is lost. It only happens to me, and only for audio. The video keeps working during the whole thing (that is why I do not think the problem is my network). Curious thing: If I hit the space bar to temporally unmute myself for 0,5 sec, then the audio immediately returns. I use Zoom for teaching and often need to stream audio from my computer. Although both myself and the participant can hear each other perfectly the audio (either audio or audio from video) is very faint and the participant has problems hearing. I have all my audio settings set to max, I have used Pot Player (volume set to max) and VLC (audio set to 125%) and it makes no difference. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of Zoom, (I  think  this is the same version as I had before). The problems have only occurred since I reinstalled my operating system at the weekend. The new version seems to be Zoom Workplace whereas before I was using Zoom Meetings, an upgrade? I am on the free plan as my lessons are only 30 minutes long Has anyone got any ideas please? Thank you Bob

Hi everyone, We have many recurring meetings but now when I create polls for different meetings all the polls for every meeting shows up in the Poll feature when in the meeting which is a huge headache because I only want the poll that is relevant to that meeting. Does anyone have a solution for this?

I am using windows 10 on a desktop, zoom Version: 5.15.7 (20303). my camera shows a white screen (see below). i use zoom every day, and it has been happening every day. sometimes it resolves itself after some time, other times not at all. i have been using zoom since 2019 on multiple devices and haven't had this problem until this past month when i moved into a new apartment. i am still using the same computer, webcam, etc, i've had since 2021, so it's definitely not the hardware. previously, when this question has been posted on the zoom community forum, there hasn't been a solution. please assist. thanks

I recorded a meeting locally in which I shared sound (just sound). There were 11 participants which I could see in gallery view as I was sharing the sound. However, in the recording I cannot see the participants at all. I could hear the sound that I was sharing, but not the participants. Can you please advise what I can do.

There must be a setting for this... why would anyone want a bot to be in a breakout? I don't want to manually go through and find every bot and boot them out just because I'm having 1:1 breakouts but right now, that's what I have to do. this seems like a really simple thing to do. Any thoughts on how to get Zoom to not invite bots to breakouts?
