Clips

Hi everyone! I’ve been running into a problem when using the Zoom Clips feature. Whenever I create a clip and select “Share computer audio,” the clip records the audio just fine — but I can’t hear the audio myself while I’m recording. It’s like the sound gets routed into the recording only, and not to my headphones or speakers. Has anyone else faced this? Is there a setting I’m missing, or is this just how Zoom handles audio routing for Clips? Would love any help or workarounds! Thanks in advance 

I was in a Zoom call on another person's account, so the other person was the host and not myself. I hit record, and the only pop-up window I saw was one that said request the host to accept. The host, I presume, accepted, and we had our meeting. I can't find the recording anywhere. I've looked in the settings Users/Name/Documents/Zoom. I've looked in Finder and there are no MP4 files from today at all. No recording with today's date was shown. I've also tried restarting my computer, and I tried the customer service phone number, which, for some reason, the automated security screening couldn't find my account, so I couldn't talk to someone. This is for a school assignment that we recorded twice already. I really don't want to film again. 

Zoom clips provide users with 3 options for how to share their clips: Anyone with the link can view: Allow anyone to view the clip without restriction. Anyone at Your Organization: Allow only members within your account to view the clip. Only invited members can access this clip Apparently, after speaking with Zoom support, it's not possible to restrict your Users not to use "anyone with the link can view" as a Zoom Admin. allowing only "Anyone at Your Organization" or "Only invited members" In our company, this feature is necessary as we don't want our recordings to be publicly available with the link for security reasons.What is also sad, is that this sharing option is the default one, and the default option cannot

Great to see Zoom in the space of clip sharing. We would like to see if there is a way to integrate zoom clips to hubspot. We can use the clip links to send them to our prospects and track their usage and analytics on hubspot activity. Is there an option to do this?

When creating a Zoom Clip, can you include a 2nd presenter? 

I have a question regarding the use of Zoom Clips for providing feedback on music production projects.I’d like to use Clips to give clients feedback while playing back their stereo audio (e.g., from my DAW) in full quality. At the same time, I want to record my voice using a microphone connected to channel 1 of my audio interface, which has two inputs.The issue: when recording in Zoom Clips, my voice is only audible on the left channel, since only input 1 is being used. This creates an unbalanced listening experience for my clients.Is there a way to share computer audio in stereo while recording the microphone in mono—so that my voice is centered and audible on both channels?I’d appreciate any guidance on how to best achieve this within Zoom Clips, or if there’s a recommended workaround.Thank you in advance for your support!Best regards,Adrian

Hello, I'm having trouble locating the setting that allows you to record yourself and your background is your desktop called green screen I believe.   I thought it was when you start the video clip, there would then be a setting to allow the greenscreen.  Thanks 

Hey!  I am having an issue launching Zoom Clips. I just recently started using my iMac (had a Macbook Pro that got destroyed prior) and every time I click "start recording" on the Zoom Clips, the entire computer shuts down, restarts and I'm back to square one. This has now happened four times in a row. I thought maybe it was a Zoom issue until I started a meeting and it worked just fine! No crashing.  I am attaching my specs, and also, want to add I do have a condenser USB microphone attached, in the computer. I see some issues in the past did include issues with the microphone was attached.   

Since upgrading my screen to Dell U4025QW 5K ultrawide monitor (5120x2160 resolution, 21:9 aspect ratio), I experience unwanted cropping in certain viewing modes (e.g., "Immersive Circle"), even though the camera’s feed displays correctly in other applications. My camera is still the same Sony ZV-E1 using Cam link 4K. I have selected maintain original ration option in the settings yet no changes... Any support will be welcome! Thanks,

I create a lot of clips and I want to allow users to download the clip from the link I provide them. I found the following in the Admin Manual but I do not see the option to allow users to download clips.  At the moment, users who try get a "The clip's owner has turned off the download setting" but I cannot find the darn thing.  To enable users to download clips, you need to navigate to the Settings tab of the user you want to enable this feature for. Under Zoom Clips, you can click the toggle to allow users who have access to clips to download their clip recordings. If this toggle is disabled, only admins will have the ability to download the clips. This setting can be adjusted at the user level, and if the toggle is greyed out, it means that the setting is locked at the account or group level and needs to be changed at those levels.

In Polish language, the letter c with a diacritical sign (c + alt) is very frequently used. Unfortunately, using this letter starts immediate ZOOM and clip making. How to change the setting to avoid this? Eryk

Hi there.  I recorded a conversation and all the media is there- i even see the waves of the audio file when i download it, but no sound comes back.  i get this message "The media playback was aborted due to a corruption problem or because the media used features your browser did not support."please help me retrieve this important audio agh!this is the recording  

Dear allPlease help me to as the service desk could help me with a file recovery that was deleted from trash.I need this recording as its super vital for me i did it 12 MArch 2025 . Yet the service desk is limited by process and procedures and see no option but to say NO. So I want to ask commuinity are there an option like in onedrive to go back in recover files that were deleted during last 30 days from trash bin? thank you

When I try using ctrl-shift-c in google docs in order to see word count, it either tries making a clip for zoom, even if I don’t have zoom open, or it doesn’t do anything when I disable it on zoom settings. It is really annoying, and is there anyway I can change it or disable it so that it won’t affect me? The shortcut literally has been cutting off input for other sites like google docs. I'm on Basic plan. I've already tried old solutions to this problem but for some reason the whole layout has changed and I no longer can change my keyboard shortcuts.

Is there a way to require users to insert their name and email before viewing a zoom clip? Or requiring them to log into zoom before viewing? Right now all the viewers are appearing as "Guest User." This would help me monitor who is viewing my zoom clip and who is completing the recording. Thank you! 

Hello,I am trying to record a Zoom Clip while sharing my iPad screen, but I can't find the option to do so. When I start a regular Zoom meeting, I can share my iPad screen without any issues, either via AirPlay or a cable connection. However, in Zoom Clips, I only see options to record my webcam or my desktop screen, but not an external device like my iPad.Is there a way to share my iPad screen while recording a Zoom Clip? If not, is this feature planned for future updates?Thanks in advance for your help!

Can someone please point me in the direction of removing the captions. I don't want the captions at the bottom of the video. Looking through the settings, I don't see the option to remove. Inserting a screenshot below. Screenshot here 

When Clips was initially rolled out, it worked fine.  A month or so later, my microphone and camera are blocked.  Our State IT has stepped into my computer to adjust the privacy and security, but they are set to allow access.  Several people on my network have the issue and some outside the network....with the same originator/admin of our licenses.  I can make silent clips., but the beauty is being able to talk and explain as I am clicking away.

I was trying to trim a recording of a lot of dead space at the end. Pushed the button, and realized I saved the dead space and lost the meeting itself.Is there a way to reverse the process or recover the original recording from the cloud?

I've tried a number of times to create a brief Zoom Clip. I also tried different settings.  Clips between 15-30 seconds. All appear unloadable.  The software says 'the video cannot be loaded either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported. '  I know it's in Beta testing.  Is this commonly occurring or is there a solution?

Hi  I am not able to convert my zoom recording. I have tried various methods even the one where we record a new meeting and then try to copy the file into the new meeting folder but it doesn't work Please guide me on how i can do it? 

My cloud recording of a meeting is saying "The media playback was aborted due to a corruption problem or because the media used features your browser did not support." after about 1 hour of playing fine. Any help would be appreciated.
