Would like Zoom Clips to have the option to transcribe my recording clips, not finding any information if clips will include this either now or in the future.

Hi @twschmidt70

You are correct that Zoom Clips do not currently support generating a transcript of the content in that clip. Not sure if its on the roadmap officially, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't something we were considering.

You can stay up-to-date on Zoom Clips enhancements by subscribing to the Zoom Clips release notes. Learn more about subscribing to Zoom Support articles

Hope that helps and let me know if you have any further questions. Otherwise, make sure to mark the solution as accepted if this information is what you needed.

I'm curious as to why, over a year later, there is still no solution to captioning/transcribing Clips (as far as I can find). If Clips are to be used in education, there must be a method to caption/transcribe. Thanks!

Actually, the clip does generate a transcript now, but there is no way to download it. Trying to upload a screenshot, but I get a message saying that I do not have permission to upload images.

Solution: How to Copy a Full Zoom Clip Transcript

Can't select the whole transcript in a Zoom Clip? Here's the super-fast way to grab the entire text.

  1. Press F12 to open Developer Tools.
  2. Click the Network tab.
  3. Press F5 to reload the page.
  4. In the list of files, find and click the one named info?....
  5. Select the Preview tab.
  6. Copy the full transcript from there.

That’s it! This gives you the entire text in one go.

Thanks, Keith! Do you know if there is a minium length for the video perhaps? I realized that my test was under 10 seconds, and I noticed that there are some features that cannot be used with clips under 10 seconds. Do you know what area the transcript appears on? Thanks!
