Hi,Since the latest update of ZOOM, I don’t see the “badges” or numbers of unread messages in my taskbar (Windows).  Before You could see a red number on the ZOOM icon in the Taskbar if you had an unread message.  Now it’s just blinking for a moment.If you see a message coming in, it looks like it want’s to set a number as notification, but instantly it’s changing into a red dot and after a second, the dot is also disapearing.  Is this a common thing in the update?  Or is it a setting somewhere else?  Or is the feature not working anymore?If I roll back to previous version, the number above the icon is working when having unread messages.ThanksVincent

I want to say that I don’t like the new, bubbly for a lack of better term, Emojis. They appeared when I restarted Zoom this morning. I think they are too cartoonish and childish looking. They are cartoonish to the level they are distracting to me and I find them annoying. So much so I found this forum just to complain about them. ;-)I’d much prefer the older ones. If there was a setting to allow someone to choose what they use, on our personal interface, I’d find that preferable to being locked into whatever set is presented in an update.

With the latest zoom 7.0.5 on Mac, It appears that increasing font size on the chat (Cmd+= and Cmd+- ) increases the font on the sidebar as well. This is such an inconvenience. Is there a way to revert back to previous zoom way that increasing fonts only applied to the chat window only and not the sidebar. I would like to keep the width and the visible rows the same when I want to only see the messages with a larger font. To support side bar font size change, a separate setting could be used.In addition, It would be great if zoom just uses the system standard font in Mac/Windows so that it appears more local instead of using the custom zoom font.

Some participants were unable to send private chat messages to another in the same breakout. Would say the recipient was not in the room. Ruined the activity for us :( any ideas why that happened?

If I have an active chat, but I have minimized zoom or have focus in a different app, and I get a new message, I get a notification of the new message. I can’t respond to ever message as it comes in so I ignore it. When I return to zoom to check my messages or if I click on the notification from another message, that one from the previously “active” chat is marked read. If it’s been a while or if I was away from my computer when that notification comes, I may forget that message came in. I’m not a fan. I did have a recent update and this seems like a newer feature. 

I have bulbar onset ALS, and have to type anything I want to say on a Zoom call in the chat. Is there a way to have what is typed can be spoken?  If not that is something that could be worked on.

I see settings for when to receive notifications and whether to play a sound, but I don't see a setting to change what that sound is.  Right now it's just the generic system notification sound, but I'd like to change it to be something distinctive.

I recently attended an online conference that used Zoom meetings.  I received a notification every time someone reacted with an emoji to an original post.  This happened a lot (over 60 chat messages during one 20 minute paper, of which probably only 10 were original posts and the rest messages that so-and-so had reacted to a post.) Several people asked the host to stop this, and the host said we should used the latest version of Zoom, and log out and restart. This stopped the notification messages for everyone but me, apparently. I was already using the latest version of the Zoom Workplace app on my iPhone 13. However, I deleted and reinstalled the app, cleared all web history and cookies for good measure, but the notifications kept coming. I have shut off notifications in the app. What else can I do, except wait and watch the recordings? 

Zoom Workplace recently updated to version 7.0.5 and while some of the unwanted changes were easy to fix - I don’t use a touchscreen computer, so defaulting to fat-finger mode instead of compact layout is frustrating - there is one thing that I cannot find a setting for and the manual steps to undo it every single time are also not user-friendly. That being when I paste URLs now, rather than simply becoming a link the URL is replaced with the pre-fetched title of the destination web page. If I wanted to do this, there is already a button to make “custom” links. Undoing it every time I paste a URL - so the recipient can easily see the URL, as well as the page title if they have exercised their user choice to enable link previews - is a completely unnecessary extra few clicks on a hovering toolbar that frequently jumps away as I’m about to click on it. The fact it doesn’t remember that I’ve set it to “link” is incredibly frustrating. Also, with the ever-increasing risks of phishing, hidi

Zoom opens the file save dialog, I choose a destination such as ~/Downloads, /tmp, or another folder, but Zoom immediately shows Failed.The same files can be downloaded successfully from the Zoom web version. File previews inside the desktop client also work, so the file is accessible and the network side seems to be fine. The problem appears to be specific to saving/downloading files from the Linux desktop client.What I tested: Verified write permissions: touch ~/Downloads/test.txt && rm ~/Downloads/te

I'm experiencing a frustrating issue where my Zoom client completely goes offline and reconnects every minute on the dot. Is there a way to fix this? Internet is working fine it’s just zoom going offline/connecting status 

With the recent update, has anyone else noticed that the pop-out chat window was removed for (multiple) users on Zoom Workplace 7.0.5; not present in right-click menu nor in-chat … menu; If you recently updated your version, it disappears after application restart.   :(

This red dot from the Zoom dock icon needs to go. It entirely bypasses the system preferences, even if you disable badges and notifications the red dot persists as long as you have unread Team Chats.This is entirely unnecessary and horrible UX design.

The latest update appears to have removed GIFs from Team Chat. Was this meant to happen or is it a glitch?

There are scheduled meetings every week using the same link and details. I would like a step by step guide of how to add additional one off meeting in between the scheduled meetings using the same link and details.Is this possible?

how do i disable the spelling and grammar checking in the latest version of Zoom workplace chat? I do not have any OS settings enabled and I have even gone so far as to disable spell checking and grammar checking in MS Edge, Brave and via GPO and yet it still persists in Zoom. There are no Zoom settings available to turn it offedit: spelling  

I am inviting external users to a channel and they receive the invite in their email. They accept the invite, it reflects that they joined completely fine on my end with the channel message telling me so.However, at least on Android from what I can currently reproduce, they will see the channel come up under the “All” tab in Chat, and then when tapped, it will say “Unable to join” and disappear. They can tap “Channels” and it works fine there. If someone that is currently in the channel messages anything, it will then reappear in “All” and function completely fine.Does anyone else experience this? I’ve tested myself across multiple accounts and different ways of adding and reinstalling the app on Android.Tested device info: Android 16, Zoom v7.0.5.

Is there some way to pin a message in the chat so whenever someone joins late, they'll be able to see a pinned message in chat no matter how far up or down they scroll? If this isn't a feature, this really should have been implemented a while back. If it is an option, I am apparently oblivious to it. Any help would be appreciated! TIA!

In a wide variety of uses for chat, participants can ask questions, engage with content, share information etc.  However, as constructive as this option may be, there are some that use it in order to interfere, disrupt, discourage, and inject their personal agendas, uninvited and un-welcomed opinions, offensive or degenerate content into another users platform.  I would like to ask for the following options to be added to chat, as the current options lack the ability to address specific zoom customer clientele. REQUESTING ADDITION OF THE FOLLOWING CUSTOMER OPTIONS: (1) The ability to review chat content BEFORE disseminating to all participants. (2) Limit Chat input to Host and Co-Host Only. CURRENT CHAT PROTECTIONS ARE LIMITED IN SCOPE: (A) The current HOST ONLY option places limitation on the Host/Presenter, which is not always or readily convenient to the Host. Hi, I'm Hailey from Korea. I'm struggling with errors that happen when I use Zoom chat. This is a language-specific error so it will be tricky but I'd like to get some advice from Zoom experts.The Korean language is made up of vowels and consonants. The more difficult point is the fact that there are also final consonants. In short, mommy in English is "엄마" in Korean. In "엄", ㅁ is the final consonant. But when I type Koreans in Zoom chat, all of the final consonants are separated like "어ㅁ 마". This error occurs in only Zoom chat.Is there anyone who can save me from the Zoom chat problem? I can't create breakup room on my phone
