Zoom crashes immediately when I open it after updating my Mac to macOS Tahoe 26.0.1. So sad. I have tried several versions of Zoom, but all the ways I tried cannot work, is there any solution?

I'm having a hard time with the Tahoe 26.0.1 update too. My Zoom is usually PERFECT. Now since the update, my lips lag when I talk, it freezes, the recording is patch, it's a nightmare since I use Zoom for work. I've tried phone calls with Apple and the chat with Zoom, but to no avail so far.

Just chiming in to say that I'm also having issues with Zoom (v6.6.2.65462) since the update to macOS Tahoe (26.0.1 - MacBook Pro 16-inch, 2019). The video frequently freezes, other participants say that my audio is choppy, and the entire application runs extremely slowly. It’s pretty much unusable for me in its current version. I’ve been using a backup laptop with an older macOS just to attend meetings.

Our organization has experienced 4 reports of Zoom being laggy or choppy after upgrading to MacOS Tahoe.

I am having a specific issue since upgrading to macOS Tahoe. When I share my screen in Zoom and write on note taking apps my stylus is very slow. It inhibits my writing. I am a private tutor so I need to be writing out math problems quickly. I thought it was the note taking software (an old version of Notability because the newer version lacked a feature I needed) and installed a new note taking software. But I realized the issue is on both apps while I'm screen sharing and neither app when I'm not. Just documenting this here in the hopes that it can be remedied with the next Zoom update.

Hi community members,
We appreciate your patience during our investigation of this issue. While we don't currently have an estimated timeline, I can assure you that our engineering team is working on a solution which will be implemented in version 6.6.10.

Hi Carla,
Thanks for the confirmation. Is there a release note or blog post about this that we can share to users in our org? I also notice you mentioned 6.6.10 but 6.6.6 is coming on the 26th, and my Zoom wont update past 6.6.5. How long would it be before 6.6.10 is released? I'm in IT support and experiencing the issue myself. Thank you!

In the same boat, would love a timeline on this release.

This issue may be due to compatibility with the new macOS update. Try completely uninstalling Zoom (including all preferences and cache files), then download the latest version directly from the Zoom site. If it still crashes, grant Zoom full disk access in System Settings → Privacy & Security, then restart your Mac. Some users report this fixes the crash after macOS Tahoe 26.0.1.
