How do i remove Fireflies ai transcription bot from my zoom account? I cannot find where it is located.

HI all,

If you are the admin / account holder you can stop any app you select from being part of your account.

Let me know if this summary works.

If you want to restrict which apps people can install and use on your Zoom account, enable app pre-approval.

Sign in as the account owner or an administrator at Zoom App Marketplace.
Select Manage in the top-right.
Open Permissions under Admin App Management.
Enable:

Require publicly listed apps on the Zoom App Marketplace to be pre-approved for your users
For the strongest restriction, leave these exceptions unticked:
- Allow apps created by Zoom without admin pre-approval.
- Allow apps created by users in your account without admin pre-approval.

You then create an allow-list:

Find an app in the Marketplace.
Enable Approve use of this app.
Choose whether it is approved for:
- Everyone in the account
- Selected user groups
- Specific users

Users can request other apps, but an administrator must approve them under Manage → App Requests.

To remove access to something already installed, go to Manage → Apps on Account, select the app, and remove or disable it.

If you want to block Zoom Apps inside meetings altogether, use the Zoom web portal:

Account Management → Account Settings → Zoom Apps → Zoom Apps Quick Launch Button → Off

Lock that setting if you do not want group administrators or users to change it. This hides/disables the in-client Zoom Apps entry point, whereas Marketplace pre-approval controls which integrations users may install. Zoom’s Marketplace management guidance confirms that apps can be approved for the whole account or restricted to named users and groups.

That helps when the enter the room but somehow our firelfy notetaker got linked so that everytime I enter a zoom room my notetaker tries to come in. Any thoughts on how to stop that?

Goodness! I am having the same stinking issue and I've looked for solutions multiple times, even deleted from gmail (a suggestion I found) and it still keeps popping up no matter what I do. I disabled all AI from the Zoom account settings as well but it seems it still makes its way. Someone help. It's an invasion of privacy.

I went to the link that Dina9 suggested and clicked on the slider next to Fireflies joins invited meetings to turn it off.

This is happening for us as well. We had a meeting via Zoom and one of the participants was using Fireflies to take notes. Now it's' showing up in every meeting. We never set up a FF account, so there's nothing to delete and it doesn't show as a connected app in Zoom. Any suggestions?

Exact same as what happened to me. Why would it show up to a meeting that it was not invited too. I've never created a Fireflies account either (and don't want too)

It has to be disabled directly from the FireFiles site, NOT in Zoom Marketplace as Google would suggest. Just navigate to the site, sign in and then select Meeting Settings to Disable It. You can also delete the account entirely from the site in the Account Settings Menu, although the person would lose any previously FireFiles recorded notes.

As stated from several members, we have NOT created a FireFlies account....so we can't login & disable it on their site.

Fireflies is like a plague. Once anyone joins somehow it just keeps coming back and you have to deny it access each time. @zoom can you do something about this? I have deleted a fireflies account (that i never created in the first place) and made sure it is not one of my added apps but it is still entering my meetings. How do i get rid of it?

I deleted the Fireflies third-party app connection in my Google account.

You can remove it by going to your Zoom App Marketplace → sign in → click your profile icon → Manage → Installed Apps → find Fireflies.ai → and click Uninstall. It’s easy to miss since it doesn’t show up in regular Zoom settings.

I believe I'm in the correct location, but the menu is slightly different. Zoom App Marketplace → sign in → click your profile icon → Manage → from there, options under the header Admin app management on the left side menu are 1. Apps on account, 2. App request, 3. API dashboard, 4. Events dashboard, 5. Permission, 6. Notifications, 7. Monetization, 8. Billing, 9. Manage connections. Apps on account or Permissions seems most likely, but fireflies does not show up in any of the links. If you have time, I'm curious to know if your menu is the same as mine. My email is ***********. Hello @cctian0702 ,

It sounds like the firefly account has invited its self into the meeting and is turning up unannounced!

Zoom has setup a new rule for apps starting 2nd March.
It is designed to stop apps from being at a meeting withouth their ‘owner’

So I would expect this firesfly to not be able to attend meetings from today. If that is not the case then please let me know

thank you for your information. I will continue to monitor this as a zoom developer. I have a test account that I can break to see what they did. It may be they got in with things that are no longer possible.

I will continue to work on this. And I will be posting a video or two on this when I understand it.

Any update? This thing keeps on adding itself to the Zoom interview meetings I have. Why? I don’t have an account and never initiated one. I tried disabling the AI companion from Zoom, and it doesn't save; the boxes are still checked after. It's like a virus.

I went ahead and connected my Google account to Firefly, and once inside, I deleted the account, so it was connected to google and not directly to Zoom
