New Emoji Icons

Completely agree. Our company pushed us to use Teams chat and we all resisted due to the Teams emojis which are just as awful and unsuitable for work usage. I also hate the removal of the screenshot button (now hidden behind a two click menu), and there used to be an option to open images in a new window (so that you could have the image full size and respond via chat) which seems to have been completely removed. Feedback given on the Help menu.  

Yeah, I get what you mean, UI changes like that can feel pretty jarring when they show up after an update without warning. Zoom doesn’t currently let users switch emoji sets, but it’s worth sending feedback through the app since they do track design preferences. In the meantime, sometimes rolling back or delaying updates (if your setup allows it) is the only workaround, though not always practical.

they are awful. They need to change them back. I cant even tell what most of them are.

Agreed with all of this! I started calling them ‘demented pumpkins.’ Besides that, they are very difficult to identify what they are, which isn’t great.

I do plan to complain about them to Zoom. It wasn’t necessary to change them.

Aside from them having the ugliest emojis in the world, I always used to use them, but now I avoid them. I have been having a lot of problems with notification bugs; I've even missed answering messages because of it.

Also, the recent user chats list is too short, which I really don't like. For example, as an IT member, I interact with many users, so I don't remember everyone's name. 

I really hope previous emojis and notifications return

The workplace is hard enough without my ability to react being removed from me😶. There is no emoji for “facepalm” “hands covering face” reactions that I need in order to let my boss know “hey I’m doing the best I can with this cubical lifestyle...😬.” You see how weird that emoji looks there? And is there only male shruging emojis?🤷looks so blurry and terrible. Zoom revenue continues to grow but every update is not making sense for the user😕. This “UI” is not enjoyable, whoever is on the focus team for that needs some help😰.
