Zoom Whiteboard

I just started using zoom on my iPad Pro with Apple Pencil, and I am having issues with the whiteboard. When I put my hand on the screen as I write, the whiteboard zooms in and out randomly which makes it very hard to write neatly. Does anyone know how to fix this? My temporary solution is to not rest my hand on the screen, but this makes it awkward to write.

    This new interface is AWFUL. It's laggier than the old one when I write on my iPad Pro with my Apple pencil. When I erase, the interface erases more text than I want. If I'm erasing some part of, for example, the fifth thing on my whiteboard, part of the second thing I wrote disappears too.
