has anyone found a way to run a virtual asynchronous voting session on a whiteboard, allowing users to vote over a period of time rather than in a meeting?

Hi @lisa101 , there are some ways you could do this! We have a structured voting feature designed specifically for this! I added a demo here: https://success.zoom.us/clips/share/vkQ309aiTGazZcsAPhRGtg

Here's a link to that whiteboard so you can see exactly what users would see: https://zoom.us/wb/db/RflBrMMlQAykhakkPc6bqQ/p/162952816623616

There are more casual ways as well:

Sticky notes have a voting feature where users can up or down vote sticky notes. Using stamps and stickers is another way to casually get feedback async!

We would love to learn more about your use and what you're trying to achieve!

Thanks,

Matt, Zoom Whiteboard Product Team

Thanks Matt - yes, I resorted to using the stamps/stickers but it allows users to distribution more/less votes than I intend and also isn't super easy if they want to distribute more than 1 vote to a single sticky. The voting session feature in live sessions is very well-designed and helpful -- if you could start a voting session without being in a meeting, send that to participants, and allow them to vote at their leisure over a week's time, with the same type of tallying/summary that the voting feature currently allows, that would be ideal and super helpful.

Hi @lisa101 , it's actually possible today! Here is a board I created that you should be able to access and vote on asynchronously: https://zoom.us/wb/db/RflBrMMlQAykhakkPc6bqQ/p/162952816623616

I can then later close the voting session and review the results at any time. Are you able to access and vote on that board?

Hi Matt - I do not have the ability to vote on that voting session link that you sent above, it just looks like a normal whiteboard. When I click on the Voting from the menu on the upper, right, I can see your voting session from July 18th and see the "which idea do you like most" question and the fact that everything has 0 votes, but can't add any of my own votes.
