We can upload image/pdf from desktop (with or without being logged in) but the option seems to be missing on mobile (Android) ?

I really hope we can upload image / pdf from mobile because that would allow my students to add picture of their exercises (taken with their smartphone) on the Whiteboard.

That feature seems to exist on desktop / iPad but not on smartphone (at least I tried on Android) ?

When using phone in landscape mode, we get a button to ”see more tools”, but nothing happens when clicking on it (or everything is burried under the keyboard which makes it impossible to use).

Hello @Sled,

I tested this on my iphone and it works great. I just clicked on the + icon, chose camera and took a screenshot. I am asking other community members with Android OS to check this for you. More information to come.

Thanks. Just tried again and when student connects from mobile with or without logging, the camera icon is missing in the tools (as you can see here : https://ibb.co/Gf0c53Bg). That does not happen when connecting from PC (with / or without signing-in).

I logged on mobile with my own account, and there the camera icon appears…

In my account > Whiteboard settings, all users are allowed to share images and pdf to whiteboard.

Auxiliary question : on mobile (here again, as opposed with PC), we don’t have option to share a PDF ?

It appears that sharing PDF to whiteboards is limited to PCs and Mac/Linux desktop computers at this moment.

Hey @Sled on Android, I found that the + icon gave me access to adding an image (albeit not documents) to a whiteboard.

Indeed, when directly opening a whiteboard or joining on Android a session with a whiteboard from the same account that created that whiteboard (e.g. : Teacher account), it works.

However, when joining a Zoom session on that Whiteboard from a Android device with another account or not being logged in (e.g. : a student) : that option is missing !

Moreover, there is no option to upload a document/pdf on mobile, which is a bit annoying for online tutoring : is such feature planned ?

Without these 2 critical features (who work on desktop / iPad !), I must for now consider other solutions for online tutoring with my company. With a smartphone, the student must be able to send a document or a picture.

I would report into Zoom as a support issue & if they say working as designed - request features.
