Hiding the floating control bar while using the whiteboard

Thank you for reading this! I have watched videos on how to hide the floating bar when screen sharing, but cannot find anything that applies to hiding it when using the whiteboard. It is driving me MAD and it never stops getting in the way of seeing what is in text boxes. Would be grateful for assistance.

how are you sharing the whiteboard in the meeting?

When you are sharing a whiteboard directly from within the meeting (not as screen share, but as a whiteboard share), you typically would not see the floating control bar, only the tool bars from Whiteboard itself.
