Where is your biggest webinar drop-off: registration, attendance, engagement or follow-up?

Hi everyone,

I recently promoted one of my own webinar funnels and found that getting people from promotion to registration was harder than I expected.

That experience made me step back and think about the whole webinar journey, rather than focusing only on registrations. It also made me curious about where other webinar organisers experience their biggest drop-off.

From what I’ve seen, challenges can happen at several different stages:

1. Promotion → Registration
Getting the right people interested enough to register.

2. Registration → Attendance
Getting registrants to actually show up.

3. Attendance → Engagement
Keeping attendees interested, participating and staying through the webinar.

4. Engagement → Next Action
Helping interested attendees take an appropriate next step after the presentation.

5. Follow-up
Continuing the conversation with attendees and people who registered but didn’t attend.

6. Measurement
Understanding what happened after the webinar and which parts of the journey are working or underperforming.

I’d love to learn from other Zoom Webinars Plus users:

Where is the biggest drop-off in your webinar journey right now, and what do you think is causing it?

If you’re comfortable sharing, I’d also be interested in hearing:

  • What type of webinars or virtual events do you run?
  • Which metric matters most to you?
  • What have you already tried to improve that part of the journey?
  • Which Webinars Plus features have been most useful?
  • Is there a stage you find particularly difficult to measure?

One lesson I’m taking from my own experience is that a strong webinar presentation alone doesn’t guarantee a strong result if there is friction elsewhere in the journey.

I’m particularly interested in learning how other members think about:

promotion → registration → attendance → engagement → follow-up → outcome

Looking forward to hearing what you’re experiencing and what has worked for you.
