Tracking live streaming attendees

Is it possible to track and/or collect data (Full name, email address, location) for a webinar with livestreaming if the attendees do not have to register for the event. Meaning “no registration required”. Any advice is appreciated.

    Hello @FC_MarCom,

If you do not require registration for your Zoom Webinar, you will not be able to automatically collect attendee information such as full name, email address, or location before they join. When registration is not required, attendees can join using just the webinar link, and their details are not captured in advance.

However, you can still gather some information after the event:

    • The webinar attendee report will show the display name and, if the attendee is signed in to Zoom, their email address. If they join without signing in, only the display name they enter will be shown.
    • Location data is not collected unless the attendee is signed in and their profile includes this information.
    • If you need to collect specific information (like full name, email, or location), you must enable registration for your webinar and customize the registration form to require these fields.

For more details, see the section "Generating webinar reports" in the article: Getting started with Zoom Webinars.

@FC_MarCom -- do you mean you want to get information about people watching livestreaming to places like YouTube or Facebook?  That’s not going to be possible from within Zoom.

If you mean live-streaming to a Zoom Events lobby in a multi-session event, that information is tracked for registered attendees who authenticate with Zoom.

Authentication with Zoom is required for Zoom to know who the attendee is.  If you want to collect that information, you’ll need to collect it first as part of registration, then the attendee’s authentication can generate “who watched” along with some of their identifying data.

No authentication basically means attendees are anonymous.
