Prevent Waiting Room Attendees Hearing Host conversations

Prior to the published meeting start time  how can hosts prevent their conversations from being heard by attendees in the waiting room?

    Host audio should not be audible to participants kept in waiting rooms by default - there is no need to tick any additional settings.

    No, our issue continues with attendees still able to hear those setting up our meeting

    As a newbee upon logging in to a scheduled meeting audio and video are checked, then indicate to Start the Meeting.  My partner a  I run basic checks.  A week back and prior to the meeting time we heard, "we can hear you"

    Yesterday during setup we inquired and someone responded "yes"
