Opting in to China (PRC) data center v. 2

(I see discussions on this topic, but all are 3 years or more old)  (My org has a “Workplace PRO” account.) We are looking at hosting webinars with participants in China - large cities with generally adequate internet access.  I have read the advice in a Zoom support document to “opt in” to using the China datacenter.  Is this still a thing?  When navigating to the list of datacenters, there is no choice for “China”.  

In 2026, to register and attend a webinar, would a participant in China need to download the Zoom.cn version of the individual app - and be required to enter a valid China phone number?
