On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

Zoom phone - UK number

Now Skype is gone we need a new UK phone number and the ability to make VOIP calls in the UK, USA and Canada. I live in South Africa, but our clients are in those regions. To register for Zoom phone I know I have to supply a UK address, but does Zoom need me to receive post and do something with it, like sign something and post it back? Can we not register and use Zoom Phone like Skype with never having to deal with a postal service, instead using email?
I'm looking at the Regional Unlimited package as I don't see a benefit in signing up for the Global Select package, or am I missing something?

Hello @Mark-BAM

Zoom Phone takes the service a notch higher than Skype and it has some legal/compliance requirements from a Telco perspective, hence the documentation needed.

I checked the Zoom requirements to get a USA and UK numbers and I am surprised to see there might not need to provide an address to get a US number, but UK is a different story:

https://www.zoom.com/en/phone-number-requirements/us-ca/

https://www.zoom.com/en/phone-number-requirements/uk/

If you can live with getting a US number instead of a UK number, I think you have a better chance.

Regional Unlimited Package and Global Select packages come with a license to get a DID number with it; you need to check which countries' numbers are available for each of the packages, but I think for US/CA/UK, Regional Unlimited is an available option.

I hope this helps; if so, please mark it as "(Accept as Solution)"

Vinnie, we want a UK number and the ability to call the US from that number. I will check out the links and let you know here if we have any further questions before signing up. PS. We are already a monthly paid Zoom customer for many years for our video calls.
