Zoom doesn't connect to Bluetooth

I run Zoom version 5.17.1 (18472) on a Blackview Android tablet running Android 12. When I'm in a Zoom meeting on the tablet, I have to plug in headphones; when I try to use a Bluetooth headset, there's no sound. I am able to play music on the tablet and use the Bluetooth, but not Zoom. What am I doing wrong?

I can't find the "nearby devices "permission in my Zoom settings; where is it?

View solution in original post

Go in your phone "settings" then "apps" then you'll see a list of your apps, find the "Zoom" app then click on it then click "permissions" then scroll until you find "nearby devices" then click on it and chose "allow"

I had the same issue. Add the "nearby devices" permission through your Zoom app settings.

The settings to change are Not in the Zoom app. They are in the Phone settings itself.. now i get why so hard to find as very confusing instructions given here..
