Zoom VDI Cannot Detect Camera In Citrix VDI Environment

Hi Team,

 

we are running Citrix DaaS environment with Citrix VDA version 2308 and Zoom VDI Application 5.17.12 (64 bit) version. On end user's endpoint it is running the same zoom vdi application with Citrix Workspace App 2403.1. 

 

Zoom VDI is unable to detect the camera both built-in and external USB camera. In the device redirection if the camera redirected is generic then it works but in case if it is optimized camera then it does not work. The generic camera is not an optimum resolution. the camera works on teams call and google meet but does not work in Zoom VDI. 

 

I have followed the installation process as per VDI releases and downloads (zoom.com) and also added zoom app on virtual allow list in Citrix DaaS policies. 

 

no luck on this one. Has anyone encountered similar issue or found a work around for it?

It's likely due to a configuration issue with the virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) or Citrix environment. Check settings, permissions, and ensure the camera is properly recognized by the VDI/Citrix setup.

i did mention in my previous message that camera works on teams and google meet but does not work on Zoom VDI Application. I did check the configuration and it works perfectly on teams classic app and new teams app as well. Also, in google meet application via chrome and edge browser. In the settings > Under app privacy > Camera > I dont see Zoom VDI application but can see it under Microphone. I am sure there is some additional settings required by Zoom VDI Application as it is not picking up citrix VDI redirection settings.
