Hello
I was wondering why Zoom supported virtual background without greenscreen for Intel Core i7 3770 3rd gen for Windows but For Linux, it only supports Intel i7 4th gen up? Why not make the same with Windows?

Hi,
I'm a bit lost with all this information. I have this laptop : Lenovo S145-15AST - 15.6" FullHD Laptop (AMD A6-9225, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, AMD Radeon Graphics).
15.6" FullHD screen, 1920x1080 pixels AMD A6 processor, DualCore 3.1GHz up to 3.7GHz, 1MB 8GB DDR4 RAM, 2133MHz 256GB SSD storage, 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s AMD Radeon R4 Graphics card
I'm having problems with virtual background on zoom. I've purchased a new webcam but the problem continues. Do I need a green screen or should I just buy a new laptop?
Thanks 😊

Notes:

- Virtual background without a green screen is not supported when utilizing the desktop client within a virtual environment.
- The blurred background option is only available for the Windows and macOS desktop clients, as well as the Android and iOS mobile apps. Desktop clients must meet the "Image only without a physical green screen" requirements.

If your machine match with that requirements then it should be working fine.

Hi @ahirschp here is the requirements for video without a green screen. Supported processors (720p background video).
Intel i5, i7, i9 (i3 2 cores doesn't meet the requirements)
2022-04-07 07:19 AM
Nothing to do?
2022-04-07 08:22 AM
@ahirschp unfortunately, if your CPU doesn't meet our requirements, there is not really anything we can do furthermore to support it unless you were to upgrade to a newer generation of CPU that meets Zooms requirements.
2022-04-07 08:33 AM
Where is the accept as solution button, : )
2022-04-07 10:10 AM
@ahirschp it's because you're not the author of the discussion, @Ansh is; therefore, you wouldn't be able to accept a reply as a solution. But, I was glad I could reply and help. 🙂

I have a follow up question.
I was wondering why Zoom supported virtual background without greenscreen for Intel Core i7 3770 3rd gen for Windows but For Linux, it only supports Intel i7 4th gen up? Why not make the same with Windows?

I recommend a Zoom aid named FineCam. FineCam works with Unsplash to deliver you millions of stunning video background scenes.
FineCam launch both the iPhone's front and rare cameras at the same time, place the secondary picture frame everywhere, and, best of all, resize it to fit best for your video calls, live demos, streams and more. The biggest difference between FineCam and other similar software is its ability to support the plug-and-play method of using an iPhone as a webcam. Users can flexibly choose multiple angles, take full advantage of the iPhone's compelling 4K/12MP (Telephoto, Wide, Ultra Wide) camera, and high-efficiently remove unwanted background (even dust and hairs on your chair) in real-time.
