For the last 2 versions of Zoom it's not possible anymore for me to use the sharing.
If I start sharing, the item I shared is no longer accessible to me. It's not possible to interact with the Window / Desktop anymore.
- I have seen this with the client before 6.2.5 to which I unfortunately upgraded.
- I hoped it would be fixed with 6.2.5, but it's not.
- Reading the release notes for 6.2.6 I also assume that version will also not improve the situation
As screen sharing is one of the most important reasons for me to use Zoom, right now, that's not possible anymore.
As a side note: I can select a background picture in 6.2.5 and it's shown on the preview, but in a real call, the background will be black. ( Seems to work after update to 6.2.6 ... ':-) )

The same. When I share any screen in Zoom I can't interact with it anymore. For example, when I share Firefox, I can create tabs/switch between them with keyboard bindings, but not interact with them (open another link with a cursor/swipe to another part of the web page). Generally, I have to disable sharing, move the web page to another part and share one more time.

Same. In my case, via the zoomgov client. My workaround is to use the zoom browser client from chrome. Opened a new ticket on this, https://community.zoom.com/t5/Zoom-Meetings/zoom-client-for-Linux-screen-sharing-broken-under-X-with... which should be closed as a duplicate.

I'm having the same problem with my Zoom client. The web client works fine enough but the camera can only capture at low resolution on the web client, so I would like to use the desktop client when this is fixed. Hopefully we get a fix soon.
I was debating whether I wanted to upgrade to Ubuntu 24.04. Is anyone having this problem on Ubuntu 24.04?

I "simply" downgraded to 6.1.11 (1545) - and it's working fine by now.

I am still experiencing this problem on Zoom 6.4.1.587-1 under Fedora 41 with KDE Plasma desktop (Wayland). The first time I share my screen it appears to work, but if I stop screen sharing and then start up again, it goes black.
