Editing closed captions on video

Hi All

Question - please can someone offer some insight?!

I recorded a meeting.  I have downloaded 3 files .  I can edit the transcription in word no problem BUT I cannot figure out how to edit the captions on the video.  All instructions say press "play" and the transcriptions will appear on left hand side, you click the pencil image and edit.  BUT all I see when I press play is the recording with the captions appearing which I can turn on or off.

I have the same problem.  What am I not doing right?  Why isn't anyone answering this question?

    Hello @Free2BCurious @AMSHQpd @FernandaAyala !

Please view or edit transcripts in the web portal as follows:

    1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
    2. In the navigation menu, click Recordings.
    3. Click the name of the recorded meeting.
-You will see a list of recording files.
      -Click the play icon.
    4. The text of the transcript displays on the right-hand side of the video.
    5. Hover over a phrase you want to edit and click the pencil icon.
Note: If a phrase belongs to an unknown speaker, you can also hover over Unknown Speaker and click the pencil icon to edit the name.
    6. Make any changes to the text, then click the check mark.
    7. The updated version of the text is displayed when you play the audio or video file.

Let me know if that works!

Hi Carla! This does not work for me. When I click the play icon on a video, the text of the transcript does not display - only a list of chat messages. I can see the file labeled Closed Caption, but I see no option to edit it, only download it.

This is really important for accessibility, to be able to edit captions to better reflect the content of what was said, especially for content-specific transcriptions.
