Question

Zoom's ultrasonic pairing frequencies

I'm trying to understand on what frequencies a Zoom Room is emitting its ultrasonic sound for wireless pairing with a soft client and i seem to be unable to find any public information on this.

In addition, is it the Zoom Room controller or appliance that would be emitting this sound?

I'm assuming it's in 20-22 kHz - similar to Cisco's Webex ultrasound pairing, but i'd love to have a bit more background information on it and a confirmation of sorts.

Hello,

We would also like to know this information. We are considering a pilot program where another device would be set up using ultrasonic pairing. We imagine this could disrupt Zoom pairing if not done correctly.

Hi

I found this article, where someone spent some time analyzing how very similar function works. Basics are probably the same as with pairing. It seems really interesing and you will find your answers here:

Ultrasonic signals used by Zoom Room seems to be within 19-20,2 kHz range.

hi @wuj_east

What an interesting question. Zoom does not make hardware, so its up to the device manufactuer to set this up. This is the only information I can find on the process or connecting.
