Live on Custom Streaming Service button missing on Zoom Rooms Controller (iPad)

This morning I tried to start a live stream from our Zoom Rooms controller (iPad), but the button to start the stream was missing. I was able to work around the issue by joining the meeting from the desktop app, transferring host from the Zoom rooms controller to the desktop user, and then starting the stream from the desktop app. Usually the Start Streaming button is shown on the Zoom Rooms controller after tapping More... Has anyone else experienced this? Has the button, or functionality, been removed?

The Start Streaming button on the Zoom Rooms controller (iPad) should appear under the More... menu if live streaming is enabled in your Zoom settings. If it’s missing, possible reasons include:

  1. Policy or Setting Changes – Check Zoom admin settings to ensure streaming is enabled for Zoom Rooms.
  2. Software Updates – Ensure both Zoom Rooms and the controller app are up to date.
  3. Role & Permissions – Confirm the Zoom Room has the necessary host permissions.
  4. Temporary Bug – Restart the Zoom Room system or reassign the host role as a workaround.

Check Zoom’s release notes to see if functionality has changed recently.
