Importing Many Background Images

I have a new computer and am hoping to download a large number of custom virtual backgrounds for Zoom from my old PC to my new one. I’ve tried cutting and pasting them from the old “Zoom\data\VirtualBackground” folder to the new one, both as jpg’s or with no file extensions. But when I reopen my Zoom workspace, it never sees them. (And I’d rather not add them one by one through the app.) Any ideas or suggestions? I’ve seen a bunch of forums online and many users seem to have this same issue.

Thank you.

You should be able to add these to your Zoom account and they’ll follow you, regardless of which device you use, as long as you’re signed into the same Zoom account.

    1. Navigate to zoom.us/profile/setting
    2. Navigate to Meeting → In Meeting (Advanced)
    3. Click ‘Manage Virtual Backgrounds’
    4. From there you can bulk upload, provided there’s no restriction at the group/account level (not sure if you’re the account admin)

    Hi @Mitch Levine

    OK, here’s the inside scoop.

You do create background images on two levels.

    1. The admin/ acocunt owner can setup some backgrounds for all users.
    2. You can also add some backgrounds in your personal user account in both cases, in the settings just search for ‘backgrounds’

    3. Now the magic. When you log in to Zoom Workplace with your account, zoom will download all the virtual backgrounds you have defined to your device. They are stored there and ready for next time you use Zoom.

You can also upload your own video filters, which will overlay your video, so make sure you use a transparent background to make yourself seen. I am doing some videos on this subject thie week, so please check out my youtube channel at the weekend.

Please like and mark as the solution if this helps

    All the best
