Question
DTEN D7X + DTEN Mate + Ethernet-Only iPad Zoom Rooms Controller
We are designing a Zoom Room around a DTEN D7X (Android) with a DTEN Mate Gen 2 at the conference table.
The client requires a second controller at an executive desk. We are considering an iPad (USB-C model) running Zoom Rooms Controller in ASAM (Single App Mode), connected via a USB-C PoE Ethernet adapter/dock.
Client security standards prohibit Wi-Fi, so the iPad would operate with Wi-Fi disabled and Ethernet only.
Has anyone successfully deployed:
- DTEN Mate Gen 2 + iPad Zoom Rooms Controller
- iPad using Ethernet only (Wi-Fi disabled)
- ASAM with a wired Ethernet connection
Looking for real-world deployment experience and any operational issues related to pairing, sleep/wake, reconnection, software updates, or supportability.
