Cannot hear host while in breakout room

The host of my meeting often divides us into breakout rooms. While in the rooms, the host occasionally broadcasts a verbal message to the group. Everyone else in my room can hear his voice, but I cannot hear it. I have no other microphone or speaker issues. Is there a setting that needs to be changed on my end?

I am having a similar issue. Have been using zoom for over 3 years and mic works great, even in the normal zoom group with all attendees. As soon as I go into a breakout room my mic doesn’t work - breakout attendees can’t hear me, and I can’t hear them. Although now captions work, but didn’t before …
