外部組織のZoom Roomsを連絡先に登録・表示させる方法について

自社のZoom Rooms運用において、外部組織(取引先等)との連携について質問させてください。

【背景・目的】 特定の他社(外部組織)が所有するZoom Roomsと頻繁に会議を行うため、自社のZoom Roomsコントローラーやクライアントの「連絡先」に、相手方のZoom Roomsを登録し、ワンタップで呼び出せるようにしたいと考えています。

【現在の認識と課題】

  • 自組織内のZoom Roomsであれば連絡先に表示されますが、外部組織のZoom Rooms(会議室アカウント)をメールアドレスで検索しても「連絡先に追加」が出てきません。

  • Zoomの仕様上、外部のZoom Roomsを直接連絡先にストックすることは不可能という認識で相違ないでしょうか。

【検討している代替案】

  1. 相手の担当者(個人アカウント)を連絡先に登録し、その都度ミーティングに招待する。

  2. 共有チャネルを作成し、そこに相手担当者を招待して会議URLを常設する。

【質問】 上記以外に、外部組織のZoom Roomsをあたかも「連絡先」にあるかのように、スムーズに呼び出す(あるいはディレクトリに表示させる)運用上の工夫や設定をご存知の方がいれば、ご教示いただけますでしょうか。

You are correct, you cannot directly add external organizations' Zoom Rooms (meeting room accounts) to your contacts or directory in the same way you can with internal Zoom Rooms. The "Add to Contacts" option is only available for users within your own organization or for individual external contacts, not for external Zoom Rooms.

 

Here are your options:

  • You can manually invite external contacts (individuals) by email to your Zoom contacts directory, but this does not apply to Zoom Rooms accounts from other organizations.
  • Your alternative ideas—registering a contact person and inviting them each time, or creating a shared channel to store the meeting URL—are practical workarounds.

I now understand that adding external Zoom Rooms directly is not possible due to the current specifications.

Based on your advice, I will definitely look into the alternative workarounds you mentioned, such as creating a shared channel to store the meeting URLs.
