Zoom Phone - Make a Call

I have a free Zoom account and just purchased a Zoom Phone plan. I've been searching help articles but literally can't figure out how to make a phone call using Zoom Phone. Maybe I don't have a full understanding of what this feature allows you to do but my goal was to be able to setup a conference call with team members then make an outbound prospecting call and have my team members listen in. I believe I have everything setup. Is there supposed to be a phone icon somewhere? I read in one article that there should be a "phone" menu at the top of the Zoom meeting window but I do not have it. HELP PLEASE!!!!

Hello @Stonemark and @algeee ,

I don't if you were able to figure out how to make calls using Zoom Phone.

When you sign up for a Zoom Phone Calling Plan, the feature will be activated in the Zoom desktop and mobile apps, and you will be able to configure the Zoom Phone System on the Zoom Web Portal (https://zoom.us/profile).

Depending on the platform that you are using Mac or PC, iOS or Android, you may need to Quit the application, relaunch it, and log in for the Phone features are visible in the app. See attached screenshot of how it looks in the desktop app.

You can't just jump in a start dialing. There are several things that you will first need to configure to make the system suitable for you. I highly suggest reading the following Support articles Admin first, then User:

You know when your sitting at your computer & want to scream at the top of your voice & throw your computer at the person who designed the Zoom phone feature & say WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats me right now trying to make an important phone call but getting a massive run around the Zoom website re entering the information they already have on file for me after I followed the steps & have now signed up paid an extra $25 per month but to complete the transaction I have to enter again alllllllll my information plus a tax or electricity receipt!!!! No come on guys get someone practical to design your systems because this is BS!! I will go back & cancel this subscription & find another alternative option for my phone call!!!! thanks for wasting my time!!!!!!!!!!!!

which country are you located in and which country’s telephone numbers do you require?

different countries have regulations requiring documentation.

I feel your pain. I lost my iPhone. I am trying to use the Zoom phone. Their Google information is wrong. There is no link here to take me to the phone keypad to make a call. And I’m paying for this? One of the many things I find frustrating and time-wasting about Zoom. It’s over-complicated (even on a basic video call) and cannot deliver the most basic service. Eliot, if you are reading this - how the hell do I make a phone call using a keypad on Zoom?

Hi @Jessica Adams,

To make a phone call with a keypad in Zoom Phone, you need to open the Phone tab first—then the dial pad/keypad is inside there. Here are the exact paths:

Mobile (iPhone/Android)

Open the Zoom Workplace mobile app and sign in.
Tap Phone.
Tap the keypad (dial pad) icon in the top-left to bring up the dial pad, then dial and press Call.

Desktop (Windows/macOS)

Open the Zoom Workplace desktop app and sign in.
Click the Phone tab.
Use the keypad to dial and place the call.

If you don’t see Phone at all in the app, that usually means either (a) you’re signed into the wrong Zoom account, or (b) Zoom Phone isn’t assigned to that user.
