Zoom Phone Bug? Connected Call With No Outbound Audio

I'm hoping someone has run into this, and solved it!

We're experiencing daily one-way audio issues on inbound Zoom Phone calls.

What happens:

- The phone rings normally.

- We answer the call.

- Zoom shows the call as connected.

- AI Companion/transcription starts normally.

- We can hear the customer perfectly.

- The customer cannot hear us at all, even though our microphone is active and showing input.

- The only reliable fix is to hang up and have the customer call back. The callback usually works.

What we've already ruled out:

- Multiple devices (desktop app and multiple mobile phones)

- Multiple networks (Wi-Fi and 5G)

- Microphone permissions

- Bluetooth

- Not isolated to one user or one device

- Doesn't matter whether the call comes through the main number, a queue, or directly.

This is happening every day and is becoming a major issue for our business.

Has anyone experienced this exact behavior? If so:

- What ended up being the cause?

- Was it a Zoom Phone provisioning issue, media/RTP issue, AI Companion issue, or something else?

- Did Zoom Support resolve it, and if so, what was the fix?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Hello @Jakeprefered

Troubleshooting ZP One Way Audio issues can be difficult without a full picture of the issue. I can provide this link for troubleshooting, but it is not exhaustive and may not fully cover your issue: https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0065328

The best things to verify are your network/firewall proxy server settings: https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0060548

You can also find out more details on the call if you have access to the Zoom Phone dashboard on your account: https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0070057 this dashboard can hone in on specific ZP audio issues which can assist in diagnosing the issue.

The final step would be to create a Zoom support case and provide the to number, from number, date/time of issue, and full description of the issue. If you can provide screenshots of the MoS dashboard from above that will assist. I bring up Zoom support as audio issues sometimes end up being a carrier issue and that would be past the Zoom Communities area of expertise to troubleshoot. If the above all fails, the next step would be to reach out to Zoom support with as much detail as possible for further investigation.

I hope this helps and if this answers your question please make sure to mark this as a solution.

Thank you,

Jake
