I want to know how I can convert/translate the Zoom phone call recording into text

    If you’re trying to turn a Zoom Phone call into text, there are a few different paths you can take. The right one really depends on what you need the transcript for.

    If you need the words as the conversation is happening, Using Zoom Phone call live transcription can provide real-time captions during the call.

    If you’re looking to capture a full conversation after the fact, one option is to move the call into a Zoom meeting, record it to the cloud, and use Audio Transcription to generate a transcript file.

    There are also Zoom Phone AI features available on eligible plans that can help with things like call summaries, voicemail transcription, and pulling out follow-up tasks.

    And if you’re working across languages, some Zoom AI features can help translate transcripts as well. (Multi-Language transcript translation)

    A good place to start is figuring out what you need most: live captions during the call, a written record afterward, or a summary of what was discussed. From there, you can choose the feature that fits best.

      Hi Don,

      Thank you for your response.

      However, my requirement is slightly different. I would like to convert a completed Zoom call recording into text. I already have the call recording and would like to transcribe the entire conversation.

      For your information, some of my team members are currently using third-party tools for this purpose. I would prefer to avoid the use of external applications and would like to standardize this process using Zoom's built-in capabilities, if available.

      Could you please let me know whether Zoom provides an option to transcribe a recorded call into text? If so, I would appreciate it if you could share the steps or any licensing requirements.

      Thanks for clarifying. That helps.

      Zoom can transcribe Zoom Phone call recordings, but there's one important detail. The transcription is only available if call recording transcription was enabled for your account before the call was recorded. It isn't something that can be generated later for an existing recording if the feature wasn't active at the time.

      You can check whether a transcript is available by signing in to the Zoom web portal, then going to Phone > Recordings and opening the recording. If a transcript was created, you'll see it alongside the audio.

      If you don't see a transcript, it's likely that transcription wasn't enabled when the recording was made. In that case, Zoom doesn't currently provide a way to generate a transcript afterward from an existing Zoom Phone recording.
