Zoom Activity Center Notifications returning as unread

Hello, I have a user who has marked all notifications in the Activity Center as read (both individually as well as using the triple dots and marking all as read), but each day her notifications come back as unread. I believe that they are reappearing after each time the application is reloaded.

This is in the Zoom Phone System section because this only seems to be happening with Zoom phone notifications specifically, Voicemail, missed calls, etc.

I don't see any real settings we can change regarding the Activity Center Notifications besides allowing specific notifications into that area. We want these notifications to appear so the user will know that they have calls to return or voicemails to listen to, but how do we prevent the activity from returning after it has been marked as read?

I have talked with this user and they have just updated to the latest version of the Zoom Workplace Client (6.2.3). She had marked all of the notifications as read, then updated and the notifications returned after the application restarted.

I appreciate any help you guys can give me! Thanks!

Hey everyone, so while I started here, I also created a support ticket. Through support we were given these instructions:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom desktop client.
  2. Click your profile picture, then click Settings.
  3. Click the Zoom Apps tab.
  4. Under Zoom Apps Local App Data & Cookies, click the Clear button.
A Clear stored data and cookies pop-up window will appear.
  5. Click Clear.

Between this and ensuring that you are on the latest version which is now 6.2.5, my user has not been seeing old notifications pop up as unread within the activity center over the past few days.

I am on version 6.1.11 (Mac OS) and am also seeking relief from this issue. It's driving me crazy! I mark them read and sure enough the red dot on the notification bell comes right back. I just went out of office for 2 hours and came back to the same notifications.

UPDATE: I just updated to 6.2.3 and sure enough I am immediately being notified of old text messages and missed phone calls as if they are new.

We are also experiencing this issue and it definitely bothers some of the users a LOT. I can't find anything in the settings. We are new to Zoom Phone, so I'm not sure if it has been this way for awhile or if it is recent.

Hello,

We are experiencing the same issue with the Activity Center notifications. I’ve had this problem across multiple versions, including the latest one (v6.2.3), and I’m currently using Windows 11. I’ve also experienced this on Windows 10. Despite marking notifications as read—specifically for missed calls, a shared note, a direct message, and a clip view—these notifications keep reappearing after I restart the application or update it, even after being cleared repeatedly. It is not all notifications but a select handful out of all with the oldest being 24 days old.

Like the OP, I appreciate any insights or solutions anyone can provide to help resolve this frustrating issue. Thank you!

Thank you! I look forward to testing the new release to see if that fixes the issue! If it does, I will come back here and mark your answer as the solution as well as add in the version with the fix.
