The system requires that you have telephone number associated with the User in order to send SMS messages. If you just have one Company Number, you will need to get another phone number and assign it to your Phone User account.

    I hope that helps!

    Hello There,

You may see this error message in some instances even though a number has been directly assigned to the user. If you already have a number assigned to the user directly and get this error message, please try the steps below.

    Please start with these steps.

    1. Sign out of the Zoom mobile app or desktop app and  sign back in
    2. Navigate to SMS and try sending a test
    3. If you still get the same error, change over to another tab such as Meet & Chat.
    4. Then navigate back to SMS and attempt another test.

IF the above does not fix the problem, please proceed with the below.

    1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
    2. In the navigation menu, click Phone System Management, then Users & Rooms.
    3. Search for your user and click your email
    4. Select the Policy tab.
    5. Disable SMS
    6. Allow for a minimum of 25 minutes
    7. Re-enable SMS on the Policy Tab and test again.

IF you are still having issues after attempting the above, please contact our support team at Web Ticket Request
