To enable SMS in Zoom Phone, you need to turn it on in the admin settings and make sure it’s also enabled for the specific numbers you want to use.
- Sign in as an admin
- Go to Admin Center settings
- Navigate to Admin Center, then click Settings, and select Zoom Phone.
- Enable SMS/MMS at the account level
- Under the General section, toggle the SMS/MMS option to enable it.
- Verify if prompted
- If a confirmation prompt appears, verify and confirm the change.
- Ensure account-level SMS is enabled first
- For account-wide settings, make sure SMS is enabled at the account level before configuring it at the site or extension level.
- Enable SMS for specific phone numbers
- Go to Number Management, then select the specific phone number. Under General Info, enable the Messaging checkbox.
- Assign a campaign (first-time setup only)
- If this is the first time enabling SMS, assign a campaign and then save the changes.
- Enable international SMS (if needed)
- For international SMS, contact Zoom Support to request activation. Allow up to 3 business days for the feature to be enabled.
