setting Zoom as default calling app (iOS 18.2)

It's nice to see zoom become the first third party app to support this new feature on iOS however even after selecting it for calls, it does not seem to work. Is it not fully supported yet?

it will only work if you have a paid Zoom Phone license.  that's a good point.

Hi there, looked at the Apple support docs, it mentioned that Once you change your default app, your iPhone will automatically pull up your selected app when you tap a phone number on a webpage, for example, or select the message button from your contacts list.

and it works on my side? what's your use case?

When I tap a phone number now, zoom does not open. In fact, nothing happens.

Just to confirm, is it supposed to allow making an audio call through zoom between free users? Or is it restricted to people on paid zoom plans? If so, they should have some documentation explaining this.

it works when you click on phone numbers within the phone such as from Safari, if you use native dial pad to make a call, it won't jump to Zoom Phone.
