Is Zultys model ZIP 36G supported?

Our current IP phone infrastructure uses Zultys ZIP 36G phones, and we are evaluating a switch to Zoom. Do you know whether these Zultys phones are compatible with Zoom or have any details about their compatibility?
Thanks
Gustavo

Zoom Phone Certified Hardware  2026-05-18 support article does not list Zultys ZIP 36G phones as being supported.  I think that Zultys ZIP 36G model was first released in March 2015 which makes this a pretty old model.

The support article does list Zoom certified desk phones from manufacturers such as AudioCodes,  Avaya, Cisco, Grandstream, Mitel, Poly, and Yealink.  Zoom Certified desk phones have extensive features and support Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP).  ZTP makes these phones very easy to setup.

Supported desk phone features 2026-05-22 support article shows what features are supported by the various Zoom Certified desk phones.

I would not recommend it, but you can use Generic SIP desk phones such as Zultys ZIP 36G phones if they support TLS 1.2 or higher.  For security, use secure real time protocol (SRTP) with AES 256 encryption.  Generally, Zoom Phone supports generic SIP desk phones for basic features such as making and receiving calls and may not support SRTP.

Alternatives to desk phones include free Zoom PC clients and mobile apps.  These clients have much greater functionality than desk phones and generally support all Zoom Phone features.

Hi Gustavo - Welcome to the Zoom Community. Zultys IP phones aren't natively supported or certified for Zoom Phone and doesn't have that plug-and-play provisioning support built in. There maybe a few workarounds depending on your current setup, but there are some important limitations and setup considerations. Since the ZIP 36G operates using standard SIP, it can technically connect to Zoom Phone as a generic SIP device. However, since it is not an officially Zoom certified phone, it might not support advanced Zoom features such as zero-touch provisioning or firmware management, Zoom specific diagnostics, or enhanced management tools. Also, some Zoom specific features (like call park groups, shared line appearance, or presence indicators) may not work as expected. If you need full Zoom integration, consider switching to Zoom Phone certified hardware for smoother deployment and management.
