Disable callerid scrolling on Poly E350 phone

Hello,

Is there a  way to disable the callerid from scrolling when the call is forwarded on a Poly E350/450 phone? We have an AR setup. For option 1, the call is forwarded to an SLG. The callerid scrolls, but since this is so much info being displayed, the original callerid is missing. Since this is a busy office, hey want to collect the callerid when the call is being presented, not in the call history. Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance.

    hi @Peggy77

i tested shared line group calls on my poly e 450.  the initial screen displayed shows name of shared line group (test slg), incoming call, the caller id name (eliot robinson) and the caller id number (+1702960….).

the screen then scrolls to display shared line group (test slg), “incoming call”, “calling for” + name of the shared line group (test slg), and the caller id number; however, this second screen does not display the caller id name.

a few seconds later, the display scrolls back to the initial screen display.

on its face, the second screen does not add any information and lacks the caller id name.

if you use a real short name for your shared line group, the scrolling will stop on poly vvx but not on eseries.  the reason is that eseries uses extra words “calling for” + name of slg.  i tested vvx 450 with slg name instead of slg test name.

once you pick up the call, the display shows the sla (test sla), time on the call (5:17), caller id name (eliot robinson), caller id number (+1-702-960….) .

Other desk phone brands and models have slightly different scroll behavior but all display the shared line group, caller id name, and caller id number.

once the slg call is picked up, poly phones vvx and e series show the call duration, “line:” slg name, caller id name and caller id number.

once the slg call is picked up on a yealink t54w, it shows the slg name line active, call duration, caller id name and caller id number.

I suggest discussing with both your Zoom account team and your HP/Poly account team.
