Canadian CNAM

Incoming calls on Zoom Phone in Canada are not displaying Caller ID Name in most instances for incoming calls from Canadian numbers.  CNAM works differently in Canada and is transmitted with the call instead of a CNAM database lookup.  Any other Canadian users experiencing issues with incoming CNAM from domestic numbers?

    Good day,

    In discussing this with one of my Canadian colleagues, this may be a combination of issues.  Per my colleague, "Name doesn’t get passed through a lot of the time in Canada. There are some carriers that we do get caller ID name from and others we only get the number."  This may also be the case when calling out from Zoom Phone.  For instance, when he calls his cell phone, he sees only the number.  When he calls his home phone, he sees the name.

     

    This may not be the answer you were hoping for, but it appears to be something beyond the control of Zoom.

    Update - as of about a week ago Canadian caller id name seems to be working.
