Black screen host shares screen

I recently started taking online classes and in the last few sessions, everyone else can see the hosts screen when he starts sharing except me, all I see is a black screen but I can actually see his mouse cursor moving around the screen but nothing else

I only have access to using one device which is my android phone and I've torn through every setting, tried reinstalling the app but nothing changes, please help me
