Best practices for new small business

Hi! I’m going to be using Zoom Phone for my new small business and wondered if there is a “easy mode” for being able to work through the setup of things I actually need (phone/fax/IVR/some AI voice mail → “tasks”). Or is this something that can be contracted out? Thank you! I just haven’t found the Zoom videos/tutorials super helpful

    Great question! 😊 Getting started with Zoom Phone can definitely feel a bit overwhelming. As far as I know, there isn’t really an “easy mode” that guides you step-by-step through setup tasks like IVR, fax, and voicemail.

    You can absolutely outsource the setup  many businesses work with IT consultants or Zoom partners to get everything configured properly. It might save you a lot of time and trial-and-error.

    Also, starting small (basic phone + voicemail) and then adding features like IVR later can make the process much easier. Hope that helps!

      If it helps in any way, Zoom has great Guide/Training resources that shows you how to do almost anything; below is a catalog for Zoom Learning Center for the Zoom Phone Catalog, but you can also browse around to see other trainings about securing your account, etc.

      It is a list of many short trainings, each covering very specific subjects ;you could watch them all (which I recommend) or go to specific subjects and then do the others as needed.

        Your question concerning Best practices for a new small business inspired me to work on the attached draft of a Zoom Phone SMB setup guide.  It starts out with business discovery and planning because understanding your business is essential to setting up your Zoom Phone system.  This information is the driver for setting up Zoom Phone features. Once your requirements are known, the actual configuration of Zoom Phone is easy.
