All My Notes completely disappeared — Pro subscriber — urgent data loss

Hello,

I am a Zoom Pro subscriber and I have lost ALL the content of my Notes completely.

Here is my situation:

  • I can still see the titles of my notes, but all the content/transcriptions inside have completely disappeared
  • I had many notes linked to past meetings that I had not yet processed
  • The Trash is empty — nothing to restore
  • I have only one single Zoom account
  • I did not delete anything manually

This is a serious data loss for me professionally. These notes contained important information from client meetings that I cannot recover any other way.

I have already tried:

  • Checking the Trash tab → empty
  • Checking account settings for Notes feature → enabled
  • Logging out and back in

I need urgent escalation to a technical team for server-side investigation and potential data recovery.

Can a Zoom employee or moderator please help escalate this case?

Thank you.

    Hello there,

I’m sorry for the late response.

If you can still see the note titles but the bodies/transcriptions are blank—and Trash is empty. The only Zoom Notes recovery steps available are for notes that were deleted and are still in Trash: How to recover a deleted note from the trash.

A few quick checks that sometimes explain “titles only”:

    1. Confirm you’re in Zoom Notes (not “My Notes”)
    • These are different features. Make sure you’re opening the same Notes area you used before.
    1. Confirm you’re viewing the notes while signed into the correct profile inside the desktop app
    • Even with “one Zoom account,” it’s worth confirming you’re not signed into a different auth method/profile (email vs. SSO) within the app.
    1. Try viewing the notes from another Zoom client interface (if available to you)
    • For example, if you normally use the desktop app, check if the notes show content elsewhere in Zoom (sometimes this helps confirm whether it’s a local display/sync issue vs. the content actually missing).

If the issue persists, kindly submit a ticket to our technical team for further assistance.
