Zoom rejects my cellphone number

I've never used Zoom before. I have it on my laptop, and registered my email address. But when it asked me for a phone number, I entered it correctly, but I get: "Please provide a correct phone number."

 

(By "correctly," I mean: I'm in the US; clicked on that produces "+1."  Then I entered my area code and 7-digit cellphone number. This was rejected.)

    Try this:

    1. Choose the country - United States

    2. Tab over to phone number and type the number with the numbers together 9993334444 (no hyphens, etc.).

    3. You should be able to click the blue "Continue" button now.

    I had same problem on Firefox, but when I switched to Google Chrome and entered number without spaces or dashes, everything worked.

    Hope this helps someone.

    This happens to me in Google Chrome. 😞
