Whenever I share my screen in a Zoom meeting, the connection becomes unstable and sometimes disconnects. Has anyone experienced this? What settings or fixes worked for you?

    Hi Alex Dane,

Thank you for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing connection issues when sharing your screen.

This can happen for a few different reasons, including network bandwidth limitations, high CPU usage, or outdated Zoom software. Here are a few troubleshooting steps that often help:

    • Make sure you're using the latest version of the Zoom desktop app.
    • Close any unnecessary applications to reduce CPU and memory usage before sharing your screen.
    • If you're on Wi-Fi, try switching to a wired Ethernet connection or moving closer to your router for a more stable connection.
    • In the Zoom desktop app, go to Settings > Share Screen > Advanced and try adjusting the screen sharing settings, such as limiting the frame rate or disabling hardware acceleration (if available).
    • If possible, test sharing a specific application window instead of your entire screen to see if the issue persists.

    I hope it helps.
