Zoom lags so much on Cachyos(Arch) on version 7.0.5-1

It sounds like a regression in Zoom 7.0.5-1 rather than a CachyOS issue, especially since 7.0.0-1 runs normally. You could try disabling hardware acceleration in Zoom, updating your graphics drivers, or testing the Flatpak version to see if the problem persists. If performance immediately returns after downgrading to 7.0.0-1, it's worth reporting the issue to the package maintainer as a possible bug in the newer release.

I've experienced a similar issue after updating via AUR with yay from Zoom Workplace 7.0.0-1 to 7.0.5-1. Version 7.0.0-1 runs normally on my system, but after upgrading to 7.0.5-1, the application becomes noticeably laggy and less responsive during regular use.

Since reverting to 7.0.0-1 resolves the problem, it appears the performance regression was introduced somewhere between these versions. It would be helpful if others could confirm whether they're seeing similar behavior on Linux installations from the AUR package.
