Zoom keeps logging me out when only logged into two computers

I have not had this problem until recently, but every single time I try to log into my laptop while my desktop is connected to Zoom, it will log me out of Zoom on my desktop, even if I’m in a meeting.

 

There used to be the option for me to login to both my desktop and laptop at the same time so that I could switch the meeting from one device to the other. I can no longer do that. What are the remedies? Is this an issue with a recent update?

 

This happens with every single account that I have for Zoom. My Zoom accounts are free, but according to search Zoom states that you can be logged into two computers simultaneously. What is going wrong? This is driving me crazy.

You can only be logged into one desktop Zoom client. If you log into a second one, the first one will logout.

Not according to Zoom: “

By default, existing users can be signed in to Zoom on 2 desktop computers, 2 tablets, and 2 mobile devices at a time. If you sign in to more than 2 devices of the same type, you will be automatically logged out of the first device.”

 

They state you can be logged into two computers at once. But I am not able to do this anymore. Has something changed? Is there something I need to do to fix this?

@KA55 did you ever resolve this? It’s marked as solved, was it the 2 computers? Im only in one, my app is up to date, and it signs me out multiple times a day, even after I’ve selected “keep me signed in”

I’m sorry to know that you are having this experience. If Zoom is signing you out multiple times a day, even when you’re only signed in on one computer and have selected “keep me signed in,” this could be related to device sign-in limits or issues with your sign-in method. Zoom allows you to be signed in on one computer, one tablet, and one phone at a time—signing in from another device of the same type will log you out automatically.

 

If you’re sure you’re only signed in on one device, try these steps:

  • Sign out of Zoom on all devices, then sign back in on just your main computer.
  • Try using a different sign-in method (for example, email/password instead of Google or SSO).
  • Make sure your Zoom app is fully updated.

If the issue continues, there may be a problem with your Zoom installation or account session.
