since I think 2 or 3 updates ago, zoom workplace keeps freezing my camera in the middle of a meeting, and then progressively getting more and more locked up until eventually it crashes. possibly happens sooner if i screen share, but haven't actually measured.

i dont get any error codes. nothing else crashes.
i use zoom with clients for work so this is very frustrating.

The same thing keeps happening to me.  I never had this issue until about 1 month ago

Same ... Up until about 1.5 months ago, it worked fine, but then Zoom put out an update and now Zoom crashes/reboots my computer every time unless if I disconnect the USB camera and just use the built in laptop camera.  I've tried swapping out to a new USB camera, but that didn't help.  I've tried disabling the built in camera to see if it was causing a conflict ... but that didn't help.  The only way to get Zoom to work and not crash is to not use video &/or disconnect the USB camera.  My other video conferencing apps all work fine with the USB camera so the issue is isolated to just Zoom.

P.S. - I've also tried adjusting the video rendering settings, changing/removing custom backgrounds, but nothing works other than disconnecting the USB camera.

I’m experiencing the exact same issue on a brand-new ASUS with Ryzen 9. My internet connection is solid—I’m on fiber. I’ve already tried uninstalling and reinstalling Zoom, giving it firewall permissions, restarting my router, and clearing all cache through Zoom settings. Despite all this, Zoom continues to freeze and crash, but only on my laptop.

I also tested on my PC tower and ran into the same freezing problem. Interestingly, my iPad Pro (5th gen) with cellular has no issues at all.

This is making it really difficult to keep up with my classes, since I’m constantly troubleshooting, restarting my computer, or missing what my instructor is saying. At this point, it feels like Zoom only works properly on mobile devices.

Hello @Ljennings,

Welcome to the Zoom Community! We're glad to have you here.

Please try uninstalling the app and reinstalling from an installer for Intel downloaded here: https://zoom.us/download.

Let us know if it helps or if you need further assistance.
