On a free plan, when the timer reaches 40 min and the meeting is abruptly ended by Zoom, the application freezes and has to be force-quit on macOS Monterey 12.4 (Zoom client 5.10.6 (7526))

    HI, Miklos.

Sorry to hear about it. Try uninstalling and reinstalling it:

    1. Open the Zoom desktop application.
    2. Select zoom.us at the top of your screen and select Uninstall Zoom.
    3. Select OK to confirm uninstalling the Zoom desktop application and all of its components.
    4. Once completed, you can reinstall Zoom from our download center.

    From https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362983-How-to-uninstall-Zoom

If this doesn't work, try this:

    1. Quit Zoom
    2. Go to your Finder
    3. Click Go at the very top of your screen
    4. Hold Options button down on your keyboard
    5. Click Library when it appears
    6. Open application support folder
    7. Delete zoom.us folder
    8. Go to applications and remove Zoom if it is still in there
    9. Reboot computer
    10. Go to https://zoom.us/support/download and get the latest version of Zoom

    Hope it helps!

Thanks. Does not apply to the issue at all.
