Zoom camera resolution problem with Insta360 Camera

I have recently obtained an Insta360 Link 2C camera (and a Link 2 as well).

When I set the camera to 1080p and 30fps in the camera control app all is good until I open a preview or call in Zoom. Then the camera is forced back to only 720p in the camera app. While the camera is being used in Zoom the setting cannot be changed. So I pause the video in Zoom, then change the resolution, then go back to Zoom and it happens again.

This only happens in Zoom with the Insta360 Link 2 cameras. It does not happen in other video call services and does not happen with other brands of cameras in Zoom.

The zoom and camera apps are fully up to date. The camera firmware is up to date.

I uninstalled all the apps anyway and did fresh installs. No change.

PC:

Win10 Professional

Ryzen 9 3950X

32GB Ram

RTX2060

Zoom online chat doesn't understand. Insta360 have people trying to investigate the problem.

Anyone have this issue and solved it? How do I fix this please?

In every other platform the camera images are very good indeed, so I would prefer not to send them back.

Thank you.

That didn't work.  I have the latest firmware.

I have the same problem. And it seems to a Zoom issue, as it only happens with Zoom. Whenever Zoomstrats the video, the camera settings are reset to 720p.

Hi.

I discovered that my Zoom pro plan had lapsed and gone back to the basic free one which limits Zoom video to 720p anyway - that's why the camera resets to 720p to match it. If you buy a higher tier Zoom service and request higher resolution then you can have 1080p,

That's not the case for me. I still have my company Pro account. And if I plug in the other 4k webcam I have, it works just fine.

Zoom HD is 720P unless you have gotten special permissions from Zoom and for most is only available on enterprise accounts for the webcam. While on a call check settings > statistics > video and most likely the resolution being used for the webcam is 360P (or lower). You can get 720P from the camera via using the second camera in screen share which uses screen sharing of the camera and the audio selected in Zoom settings > audio. In most meetings that is probably not allowed for a participant. So your experience is as expected.
